What's great

Been running async syncs with my team forever, and the classic "wait who said we'd do that" moment kills me every time. Having meeting memory live inside Notion instead of buried in a Slack thread or a doc nobody opens? That's the kind of QoL upgrade that actually sticks.

Genuine question though: how does it handle mid-call language switching? My team goes English to Mandarin pretty freely and most tools just give up at that point lol. Would love to know if this one holds up.

Not gonna lie, most "AI meeting notes" tools feel like a solution looking for a problem. This one actually fits where the work already happens. Upvoted.

Performance tanks a bit on larger pages with lots of embeds, and onboarding new teammates still takes longer than it should. The "blank canvas" thing is great once you get it, but the first week is rough for non-power-users.

vs Alternatives

Tried Confluence for a while but it always felt like overkill for a small team. Linear is great for tasks but terrible for docs. Notion just won on flexibility, everything lives in one place and you can make it look however you want. The switching cost at this point is basically zero because the whole team is already in here anyway.

What's great

Notion is one of the best tools that i have used for multiple tasks all at one and user experience is just awesome. from organising my to do list to building a full-fleged project roadmap. Although there is some issue in using it with a macbook. A working thread is forever active consuming internet and drying the battery out early than normal. i had to manually deactivate this thread name "nsurlsessiond" . I tried fixing it for a long time then i switched to its website version.

Notion is one of the main tools in our stack for task management and collaboration. We love it and use it everyday to keep up with client work, have individual calendars for each client and for our meeting notes and tasks. We also host our internal wiki there which works great.

What needs improvement

It is true that Notion has a steep learning curve. Many people are overwhelmed and if you don't invest time in learning how to use it, you will never get the hang of it. In many companies you probably need an experienced user to set it up for the less tech-savvy users.

Notion is still one of the best ninja tools out there, we are running our company on it for more than a decade.

The flexibility and ability to build almost any workflow around it are what keep us using it.

Performance is probably the biggest weakness. Larger workspaces and complex pages can become noticeably slow, and Notion can be quite demanding on system resources. Offline functionality could also be stronger.

What keeps me on Notion is the balance — it's the only tool where my PRDs, meeting notes, and team wiki all live in the same place without feeling forced. The linked database feature sold me: I can connect a meeting note to a roadmap item in two clicks, and that workflow has replaced 3 separate tools for me. Honestly pricey once you need Business tier, which is why I gave value-for-money 4 stars. But still cheaper than the stack it replaced.

Creating Tables and Databases should be more intuitive with the UX it is hard to link tables to databases manually if you are a novice...use the AI and describe your needs exactly
