Private dictation and meeting notes, all on your Mac

Hold Fn, speak, and nchova types in any app: Slack, Notion, Mail, the terminal. Speech recognition runs on your Mac, even offline, and the audio never leaves it. It also transcribes your calls on Zoom, Meet, Teams or Slack with no bot in the call, tells the voices apart and writes the notes when the call ends: with Apple's model, Qwen on your Mac, or your own Claude Code or Codex. Free forever with Apple's models. Pro is €29.99 once, no subscription.

Hey PH, Rudy here 👋
I was paying for two subscriptions: one app to dictate, another one for meeting transcripts and notes. And I kept thinking it shouldn't work like that, my Mac can do all of this by itself.
The idea came from a small dictation plugin I hacked together for Omarchy, so I could dictate on my secondary PC too. Once that worked, the rest kind of came by itself 😅
I built nchova over the last month, testing it every day on my own work and my own meetings, and some of my colleagues have been using it too.
What it does: hold Fn, talk, and it types wherever your cursor is. It also transcribes calls on Zoom, Meet, Teams or Slack, with no bot joining, figures out who said what, and when the call ends it writes the notes around the few lines you typed during it. Notes come from Apple's model, Qwen running locally, or Claude Code/Codex if you already use them. It speaks MCP too, so you can ask Claude things like "what did I say I'd do in Tuesday's call?"
You get everything for 30 days, then it's free forever with Apple's models. Pro (Parakeet, which is more accurate and knows 25 languages, names on voices, better notes, iCloud sync) is €29.99 once, for 3 Macs. No subscription, obviously. Code PRODUCTHUNT takes 30% off until Oct 22.
It's a 1.0, so something will break. Tell me what, and what you'd want next. I'm around all day.
