Reviewers consistently praise NativeMind for keeping AI work on-device, saying that local browser use makes it feel safer for sensitive work and more practical than cloud tools. People describe it as fast, smooth, and easy to use for summarizing pages, research, private search, brainstorming, writing cleanup, translation, and even basic mobile UI work. The maker of
Moltcraft also highlights its zero-cloud, single-device setup. Downsides are light but specific: users want Firefox support, better answer traceability, more formats and languages, and voice input.
Wow, this is seriously cool! 🎉
I’ve been tinkering with local LLMs ever since the “compile llama-cpp and pray” days, and what you’ve shipped here feels like magic in comparison. The fact that I can open a tab and start chatting with Mistral or Qwen without installing a single thing or sending a byte to the cloud just blows my mind.

@alex_koo Thank you for your response. That’s a great idea — we’ll definitely take it into serious consideration.
Congrats on the launch! 🎉 NativeMind’s approach—keeping AI local and private—feels refreshingly intentional in a world where everything’s pushed to the cloud. Curious: as more models become available, how do you see users balancing performance with on-device limits? Excited to see where you take this!

Thanks so much for open-sourcing this!
Privacy is something I deeply care about, and having a fully local AI assistant means I can think, write, and research without worrying about anyone looking over my shoulder.
One question though — while local models are amazing, is there any way to temporarily use cloud models like ChatGPT for certain tasks, without sending any conversation history or context to the cloud?
Nice launch! Love that it's private and runs locally—big plus. Do you plan to add more models over time? Excited to try this out!

Really appreciate the focus on transparency and trust in AI responses. Curious how the explainability layer works under the hood!
NativeMind
@anighojkar Glad you noticed! The explainability system surfaces key reasoning steps so users can understand and trust every output.
