Ever since outdoor social platforms started appearing in the early 2010s, I’ve used several apps for my own activities, organizing hikes, and building community. I often got frustrated by limited features and ended up relying on Google Sheets, trail maps, and text messages to fill the gaps. Even with popular messaging tools like WhatsApp, it’s hard to keep relevant conversations, planning details, and activity logistics in one place.
MissionPeak’s integrated web and mobile experience feels like a strong start, with a clean UI and the essential features outdoor organizers need. I especially like the activity recording feature, carpool integration within huddles, and the advanced organizer settings available in the web app.

Do you have any safety features planned, like verified hosts or location sharing for group activities?
@thamibenjelloun Thanks for the thoughtful question! We take safety and trust very seriously. MissionPeak already includes various safety and privacy features within community and huddle settings, and we’re actively exploring additional capabilities such as verified organizers/hosts, ID verification, secure event check-ins, emergency contact options, and optional location sharing for group activities.
Our goal is to create experiences that feel social and accessible while also giving users more confidence, privacy, and transparency when joining outdoor events with others.
