About

I’m Thami, Moroccan founder, engineer, real estate investor, husband, father, and CEO of Mailwarm. I started building before I even knew the word “startup”. Over the years, I tested ideas, worked as product manager, invested in real estate, and learned by launching, failing, selling, rebuilding, and trying again. In 2020, Mailwarm became #1 Product of the Day on PH and went from around $3K MRR to $8K MRR in one week. Today, I’m building the strongest email deliverability company in the world, for humans and AI agents. Outside of work, I live between Paris, Dubai, and Tangier, train regularly, spend time with family, and stay deeply connected to the Moroccan founder community. Here to connect with founders, support launches, and share what I learn about GTM, SEO, PH, AI, and execution.

Spam trigger words are a myth

Everyone has the spam words list. "Free." "Urgent." "Act now." "Limited time." Use them and your email dies in spam.

It doesn't.

Starting to think PH is the 1st GTM test. Launched mailX then mailwarm (today) on PH.

A few days ago, we launched mailX by mailwarm (YC S20) on Product Hunt. We finished #2 Product of the Day.

And today, we re launching @Mailwarm2.0.

The obvious value of Product Hunt is visibility: traffic, followers, backlinks, social proof, maybe customers.

But honestly, the part I m starting to value even more is the GTM learning.

What features should you KILL? Not what feature should you add!

In our meetings, we usually keep debating about what features to add to our product. But honestly, we need to be able to say NO to that.

Building became even easier with AI, so it is tempting to add a ton of features. The cost is how complex your app becomes. This is why products get messy fast. Usually it looks fine for old users, because they learned each feature slowly while you built it. But new users open the app and feel lost.

@busmark_w_nika asked yesterday what PH is missing and what people would improve. I am sure the team has enough to cook with now. So I want to ask the opposite:

  • What should Product Hunt kill? What feature would the product be better without?

  • What did you say NO to in your own product?

  • What feature would you remove from a big product you use?
