What do you think? …

Hey everyone! I’m Jackson and I started Minipay 👋 I built Minipay because it’s something that I wish existed for myself. I’ve got a ton of subscriptions that I pay for, but the only way I can track all of them is through my credit card statements. And all of them are monthly/yearly plans. Pausing and canceling has gotten easier, but there are still dark patterns out there that make it easy to subscribe, and hard to cancel. Or, I’m just lazy and let subscriptions continue to charge me in the background when I’m not even using their services. You also see people add virtual cards when they subscribe and turn off payments when they want to unsubscribe, but that seems fraught. I look at B2B SaaS companies that have moved on to usage-based billing and think to myself “why can’t I pay for Hulu like that?” So that’s Minipay, a platform that lets subscription services add pay-as-you-go tiers to their existing content paywalls. It’s a pricing model that’s fair and transparent. Just like utility bills, you only pay for what you use. No hidden fees, no surprises. I’m just getting started, so it should be obvious that there aren’t any services that support pay-as-you-go pricing with Minipay yet. That’s where you come in. Take a look at minipayhq.com and sign up if you like (it’s free)! Check out the app wait list form and let me know some of the services you already use that you’d like to pay for with Minipay. It’ll make pitching pay-as-you-go pricing to these merchants much easier. Here's a simplified list of Minipay features. For Consumers 💸 You only pay for what you use ⏯️ Pause or cancel whenever you like 🔔 Payment notifications and transaction history 🛍️ App marketplace For Merchants ⚡ Usage-based pricing models 🤖 Instant integration with our native SDKs and public APIs 📈 Analytics and insights, track growth metrics, reduce churn 🚀 Find more subscribers If you’d like to learn more or connect with me, you can find me on Twitter @~jacksoncheek or over email at jackson@minipayhq.com. I’d love to hear what you think :D

Wow, interesting. Would love to see how this goes Congrats on the launch! 🙌🚀

Do you support every service out there or how does it work?
Jackson Cheek
@sentry_co it’s built to support any digital service (although it requires partnership from both the service provider and the subscriber to work). I didn’t want to build something that locks credit cards when service providers try to charge you in order to achieve the same “pause/cancel” effect.

@jacksoncheek I think more people will need this solution. I have like 5 to 6 entertainment platform subscriptions and some of them are which I haven't used in a while but still, the cost goes in renewal. So I can easily relate to the problem. Looking for the full fledge product announcement.

very interesting! even without pay as you go adoption yet, does your product still offer subscription management?
Jackson Cheek
@budb it doesn’t because I’d really like to see pay as you go takeoff, but it’s something on my radar.

Such a great idea! Useful indeed! Congratulations on the launch!

This is a great idea, I constantly get lost with the subscriptions I pay for and don't and get undesired auto-renewals. Looking forward to testing this one out!! Congrats on your launch!
