Luci saves your screen history and meeting transcripts locally, so agents like Claude Code, Cursor and Codex can help you find a page you forgot to bookmark or recall a decision from a call. Capture context across apps without setting up a connector for each one. Includes on-device transcription and daily summaries with Microsoft Foundry Local. Free for Mac and Windows.

Does a search result take me back to the original screen capture or meeting timestamp?
can we query the local index through CLI scripts or only via connected AI agents?
@sansa_grey Yes, you can query it directly through the Luci CLI and use it in your own scripts. No connected AI agent required!
@sansa_grey Yes, and the CLI is what I use most myself. luci search, luci transcript, luci usage, all with a --json flag so it drops straight into scripts.
Congrats on the launch! Is it possible for me to ask it summarize for example the tasks I worked on last week? If so, this would be absolutely useful for my daily workflow!
I could see meeting history helping someone confirm a detail they missed while presenting.
@lvyanghuang Exactly. When you’re presenting, it’s easy to miss a question or a quick comment. You can go back afterward and check what was said without asking everyone to repeat themselves.
@lvyanghuang Exactly that. Presenting and listening at the same time is hard, and the question you half heard is usually the one that mattered.
very nice product! but before installing it, i'd like to ask: do u really plan to keep it free forever?
@luca_ardito I will think about it in the future, but it's free now!
Hi everyone
Shawn here, founder and CEO of Memories.ai. We build memory for AI, and Luci Desktop is the most personal piece of that work.
I built the first version for myself. I run a company across two time zones, and by evening I could not tell you which tab, doc, or call held the thing I needed. My agents were worse off. Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex are brilliant inside one window and blind to everything outside it.
Luci fixes that with one idea: your screen is already the common layer across every app. Luci captures it, transcribes your meetings, and keeps all of it on your own machine. Your agents connect over a local MCP server, and there is a CLI if you would rather script it. No connectors, no per-app setup, nothing leaves your device.
It is free on Mac and Windows: luci.memories.ai
What I would love from you today: tell me the one thing you wish your agent remembered and it does not. Those answers decide what we build next. Thanks for being here on launch day.
I like the idea of letting an AI agent look up relevant context instead of copying it into every new conversation.
