Logseq local first and E2E encryption meant i can use it at a new job where i was bombarded with too much information. Interstitial journaling allowed me to connect the dots and IT approved having this app in-house, have got several colleagues using it as well for their personal note taking as well. A bit laggy though and missing canvas from the free tier plan and dataview like plugins that obsidian offers.

In my opinion, Logseq has found the right (perhaps even perfect) balance between a neat interface and an effective tool. It is fairly quick to get to know, and you discover the features you need as you go along. The plugins are rich and can add the possibilities you need without leaving you with a multitude of features that drown you. The data model is natively accessible, so you're guaranteed to get your data back no matter what happens.

Logseq is a great home base for collecting and organizing your knowledge. For beginners, start on the daily page and write. That's it. For the experienced, there is a lot of depth to what you can do. Great community, frequent updates. I come back to logseq time and again, despite leaving for weeks at a time to try other PKM. Hard to beat the effectiveness of the simplicity offered here.

Very solid PKMS with infinite outlining as a central mode of writing. FOSS project with a vibrant and fun community. It's easy to jump in and make contributions. Think of some way you could improve the product? You can write custom Javascript that gives you the full capabilities of their plugin api. I highly rate this PKMS. It's an exemplar of the power of FOSS

Great note taking tool, I center my notes around journal entries and use backlinks to group related notes.

What needs improvement

One-click sync, currently only use it on my laptop but would love android support. (This is currently an alpha feature). This would make me ditch Notion completely.

After trying both Notion and Obsidian this is the note taking app I settled for: - the blocks/outliner system makes more sense to my needs - daily journals and data queries are in the core of the application, no need to use plugins for them. I'm looking forward to the new database version, I think it will make a huge impact in the PKM ecosystem.

It's one of the best note taking apps I've used. 1. Easy to use 2. open-source 3. can be synced with Dropbox 4. faster than other apps like Notion and works offline too 5. Everything stays on your device 6. Has a lot of plugins and an active community and a lot more things made me shift to Logseq Great Product

A perfect alternative if you need a x-platform note/knowledge managing tool that keeps your data in a format that is future proof (Markdown) - so that they are not lost even in case the software would be discontinued. An advantage not to be underestimated. I prefer it to more popular Obisdian - as it has no restriction & I can use it for my private and corperate work. I used Obsidian as well - until I got aware of this - yes, there are less plugins, but there is everything (& more) than I require and expect from my knowledge database.
