“First we build the tools, then they build us.” – Marshall McLuhan. This is something about Anytype.
I love simple, nice design and use, I've used Notion quite a lot before - I'm mentioning this because a lot of other comments compare Anytype to Notion - and yes, both product/tools are similar, with similar yet different use case(s). to be honest, Notion never 100 % worked for me, while I instantly fell in love Anytype. Great job!
In my opiniCreativity and collaboration will be at a high level. CRM concepts and communities, let's call it business and civil society. It will be recreated. ✌️
Growth mindset, tips for satisfying life
Very promising with lots of good features. It's missing a few of the must-have things (calendar is one of them) to become a fully-fledged KMS, but they are on the roadmap. With data local first, it's going to be a big contender for Not-privacy-friendly-ion.

Review of Anytype
I'm one of the few people who extensively tested anytype's first alpha version on a mac over the past 8 weeks. I used it to organise my tasks, private files and research activities. Overall I loved the experience and will continue to (heavily) use it.
Pros
- UI / UX is intuitive, exceptionally well designed, a piece of art
- performance and speed are outstanding, super slick and snappy (vs. evernote, notion, airtable, trello)
- self hosting without set up through IPFS, all complexity is abstracted away
- privacy by design - I feel deeply relieved when nobody is watching or stealing my data
- offline first - used it on a train and plane without any down times or restrictions
- potential - content addressable web links will provide devs with completely new tool sets empowering edge AI, verifiable version control / auditability
Cons
- pass phrase for key recovery might be cumbersome for non technical users
- still in alpha - I want to share it with my friends, family and colleagues asap
- small bugs re text formatting given the early stage
I believe anytype will set new standards by combining UX, convenience and privacy in unprecedented ways. Love it.

Been really looking forward to seeing this up & running for some time :D
Our workload has been increasing so quickly in the past couple of months and I'm really starting to suffocate with all the bits and pieces of info we need to put together within our team to push our startup forward. Most of the stuff we debate or work on really can't/shouldn't be exposed, so the collaboration-meets-privacy thing is a winner!
