Super useful in my daily work life. I was skeptical about the daily journal approach at first, but using it to track my workday and link it to my knowledge and tasks has been amazing!

What needs improvement

Logseq is amazing for PDFs, but what if we treated emails the same way? Here’s a quick concept for a deep email integration that would allow for highlighting and linking directly within our journals.

The goal is to treat emails as first-class citizens, similar to how Logseq handles PDFs.

1. Integration & Capture

Secure Sync: Connect via IMAP or API (Gmail/Outlook).
Easy Access: Use a /import email command or a dedicated sidebar to drag and drop threads directly into your Daily Journal.

2. The "Email Viewer" (PDF-style)

Side-by-side View: Clicking an email opens it in a split panel.
Smart Highlights: Select text within an email to create a block reference in your notes.
Automatic Metadata: Auto-populate properties like From::, Subject::, and Date::.

3. Workflow Integration

Contextual Journaling: Link specific email paragraphs to your meeting notes or daily logs.
Task Management: Convert emails into TODO items while maintaining a bidirectional link to the original message.

Why it works:

It eliminates the friction of switching between apps and keeps all professional communication indexed within your local graph, preserving context and privacy.

Great note taking tool, I center my notes around journal entries and use backlinks to group related notes.

What needs improvement

One-click sync, currently only use it on my laptop but would love android support. (This is currently an alpha feature). This would make me ditch Notion completely.

Logseq has transformed my journal. I've previously used evernote. I've had collections of google docs. But the linking that comes so naturally in logseq makes it so much easier to find what you had before. The daily journals are brilliant .. I didn't use them much to start with, but now I find them so much more powerful than having individual pages, because of the inherent timeline. The bullet-as-a-doc provides easier focus, especially with being collapsible. And also, the in-app pdf with annotations are awesome. Thank you so much.
