Perplexity
Disrupted my PKM especially the capturing process and mapping a territory of a topic through its interactive and pedagogical style of search. Its an LLM that comes with provenance (links to citations) and has a fanatastic UI and price point compared to OpenAI. It also integrates with WolphramAlpha has is now my default search engine

Insight Timer App
At first it was fantastic to have guided meditations and community built into a product that allow independent content creators to post on this platform. However, the quality of the content has become questionable and with the increased number of content creators on the platform, it is harder to search and get contextual recommendations of getting relevant content. Still a powerhouse meditation and mindfulness app.

Logseq
Logseq local first and E2E encryption meant i can use it at a new job where i was bombarded with too much information. Interstitial journaling allowed me to connect the dots and IT approved having this app in-house, have got several colleagues using it as well for their personal note taking as well. A bit laggy though and missing canvas from the free tier plan and dataview like plugins that obsidian offers.

Spark
Fast, Simple and Smart email client. Almost as fast as apple mail, especially with version 3. The best part for me is to generate a URL for each email that opens up in the browser and can be shared with others.

Readwise
Readwise is an integration tool for content consumption first and foremost. It allows consuming content from the best app we like to and is able to bring in our highlights and annotations to a unified interface that can be consumed from their apps (Readwise and Reader) but also relayed downstream to note taking tools and deeper introspection. It suits diverse set of learning workflows and comes a solid API. Though the main job appears to be a flashcards app like anki using spaced repetition and interleaving with the twist of being able to make your notes around your highlights on content consumed from a host of popular services, I find it as a core architecture piece of modern knowledge work and learning. Books can be read on Kindle, Apple Books, Libby and a host of other sources and their highlights can surface up in Readwise. Tweets can be saved and preserved for later consumption or referncing. Audio podcasts can be saved via apps like Snipd, and newsletters can be consumed via email feeds and RSS all in one fluid interface. Their reading app, Reader is new in the market but is becoming tightly integrated with Readwise and i am exciting about their future development. It is one of those services that is hard to switch off once you get it rolling, simply because it becomes a critical infrastructure piece in personal knowledge management.

Todoist
Todoist is great at attacking shallow work, the ones that brings death by a thousand cuts. Design is not upto par with Things 3 and key concepts are missing like start date and duration of a task but its integration with third party apps, solid API and task URLs for deep linking are unmatchable. Overall, its a reliable app that doesn't break.
