Hello! 👋 I made this simple tool because I have terrible self-discipline. It just stores text behind a time lock.
You set a delay and then have to wait before you can get back whatever you put in it.
It can encrypt in the browser if you set a password, with password manager grade encryption.
It's anonymous, free and open source.
What problem does this solve? Most of my life I have had terrible sleep hygiene because I stay up staring at screens, which is not good for your health. Now I am trying to use Downtime rules to have all my devices shut off when it's time to go to bed. I set a pin to disable it and close my eyes to type the pin so I don't know it. But it's still too easy to reset the pin with my account password! And then I stay up.
Now I have my account password in LaterLock with a long delay. So if I want to change the Downtime rules, I have to wait for it to unlock first. It's a specific use case, but I couldn't find an existing tool to do this.
I hope it can be useful to someone else for whatever you want to do with it!
