iPhone's Dynamic Island, brought to your Mac's notch

Most notch utilities just draw a static shape over the cutout. Islet actually behaves like iPhone's Dynamic Island: native spring-physics expand/collapse, real-time HUDs for volume and brightness, a live music glance with full playback controls, one-tap audio output switching (no System Settings detour), plus calendar, weather, and a file tray you can drop into from anywhere. Built natively in Swift + AppKit, not Electron, fast and fullscreen-aware.

Paddle blocks sales until domain verification clears (1–7+ days) — Polar
lets you sell immediately while compliance review runs in parallel.
Gumroad's fees run ~23% and PayPal had suspended their payouts. Stripe
direct is cheaper but pushes VAT/MoR compliance onto me — Polar handles
that plus native license-key generation for the macOS app, which the
others don't offer out of the box.

Claude CodeAnthropic’s deep-context AI coder

Terminal-native and handles long, multi-file agentic work well — including
background tasks I could kick off and keep working while they ran. For a
solo project with no team to hand off context to, that mattered more than
an in-editor assistant.
