A minimal web app for traditional I Ching readings using the Wilhelm-Baynes translation. Zero friction, zero ads. Includes an optional AI layer to connect hexagrams directly to your question in plain English.

How does the AI layer actually interpret the hexagram in relation to the specific question, and is there any transparency about how it decides which line readings or changing lines to emphasize?
@dalyancsev5733 Good question. To be precise about it: the AI doesn't decide which lines to emphasize, the moving lines are determined mechanically by the coin toss itself (the traditional 6/7/8/9 method), before the AI ever sees the reading.
Once that's fixed, the AI gets the primary hexagram's Judgment text, the relating hexagram's Judgment if there are moving lines, and your specific question, then it's instructed to ground its interpretation in that exact language rather than generic phrasing.
So there's no hidden weighting or selection happening on the classical side, that part is fully deterministic and shown to you first. The AI's only job is connecting the fixed reading to your specific situation in plain English.
Wilhelm-Baynes is the only translation I actually trust, so seeing it front and center here won me over immediately. The AI layer tying the hexagram to my exact question felt surprisingly nuanced, not generic at all.
@erdalen7n Appreciate that, especially on Wilhelm-Baynes, that was non-negotiable for me too. Glad the AI layer felt grounded rather than generic, that's exactly what I was aiming for.
