Kai is an AI executive assistant for solopreneurs, freelancers and startup founders. It works across your email, calendar and tasks: it triages your inbox and drafts replies, schedules around your real availability, records and transcribes your meetings, then turns them into summaries and action items. Workflows run in the background, and Kai hands tasks to Claude or ChatGPT with the context of the meeting or email they came from. Available on Web, desktop and mobile app. Free trial available.

I’ve worked with the team over the past 8 months to build Kai, and I can genuinely say, the things I’ve seen here are ****** unhinged.
So here’s a brief timeline to put this in perspective (we’re 8 people)
In February, we built 4 prototypes in 5 days:
a read/write AI for calendar
an AI to sort and reply to your emails
an AI meeting notetaker
a task workspace to schedule focus time via chat
We spent the following 4-6 weeks stitching it all together, while the marketing team (@lambertlcdb and I) grew the waitlist to ~400 people.
In May, we started onboarding the first few users to a product that was honestly embarrassing, but did deliver some value. @dannyhatcher , @david_tedaldi1 and I interviewed dozens of those users to understand why they were after an AI assistant, and how we could serve them best
From May til August, half the team was exploring new use cases, while the other half was making the key surfaces (mainly meetings, emails, and memories) work perfectly.
For memories, it's @andrezzoid who took over the work. Memories is what allows Kai to work for you - the way you want it. Kai now learns continuously about you, from what you say in chat, to what happens in your meetings and inbox. The kind of under-the-hood work that changes the UX forever. 👏
Meanwhile @alaamoucharrafie built dev pipelines so we could ship even faster. We’ve shipped a new version of the app every work day since ~June (140 versions in already). He also worked on backend scalability and billing, which meant we could support our first paying users from September 💸
In September, @marco_ancona2 deployed always-on subagents for emails. For the first time, Kai was always on. Whenever something important landed in the inbox, Kai would surface it right away.
Kai became proactive. This is the bet we're making from now on: buidling a proactive personal assistant. Not a one way chat, but literally a two-way conversations: sometimes you ping Kai, sometimes it pings you.
@johnmavrick then went on to build the iOS and Android apps. Yeps. We’re now on macOS, Android, iOS and Web.
This is a cracked team, obsessing over a specific problem. Good things are coming!
I'm glad the user still gets the final say before anything is sent. With email especially, a little human oversight goes a long way. Congrats team!
Thanks @henry_habib! Can't wait to hear your feedback on hte quality of the drafts!
For a bit more than 7 months, I've been building Kai with the team. It's probably the project I've learned the most from !!
So three hackathons later, we're super excited to show you what Kai is: months of brainstorming, thinking and building together, and hours of feedback with our first users.
Git it a try and tell us wdyt !! ;)
Been using Kai for the past few weeks and it's been a life-changer in terms of productivity and organisation. Can't wait to see them take over the market!
@emilie_hartung thanks for all the feedback you shared! Really, we are here today thanks to great people like you!
hehe thanks sis! your feedback has been instrumental in the development of the product! 🙌 @emilie_hartung
Nice to see an AI product that cares this much about the interface. Can I use it on my phone as well as on my laptop?
Great, well done on getting off to a good start! Is it possible to add more than one email address? Personal and professional?
