Guide helps you deliver a magical interview experience to every candidate, no matter where they are. Showcase your culture virtually and win more candidates with a personalized interview experience. Guide is free and integrates with any recruiting stack.
🤩👋 Hi Product Hunt! I’m so excited to share Guide with the world - it’s the most fun product we’ve ever built (which includes the website if you couldn’t tell :).
It’s not only work that is going remote - hiring has gone virtual as well. We built Guide so companies can deliver a personalized interview experience for every candidate, no matter where they are.
Creating a personal Google Doc for each candidate we interview has been our team’s biggest competitive advantage for winning top talent for years. Candidates love knowing what the interview process entails, who they'll meet and how to best prepare. This is time consuming to create but it matters - because it helps candidates get to know us before making such a big life decision.
With Guide, we’ve taken this idea to the next level not only for hiring teams, but also for candidates. Candidates can now see their interview stage in real time, meet their interview team, view detailed schedules and tips to prepare, offer anonymous feedback and much more.
The response we’ve gotten from both companies and candidates has been overwhelming. Guide is now used by companies like Reddit, Glossier, Netlify, Domino Data, Sift, Handy and many more. We truly hope Guide helps raise the standard for candidate experience far and wide - that’s why we made it free 💙

If you’re a candidate, hiring manager or recruiter, we’d love your thoughts! What crazy ideas can we add to Guide to make the experience more magical for you or your candidates?
Happy (virtual) hiring,
Troy

@destroysultan This looks awesome! We currently use Google Docs to do some version of this. But this looks like it pulls in some great things together. Excited to check it out.

Having been on both sides of the hiring process, this is so freaking cool!
As a candidate, feeling like you understand the hiring process and flow is invaluable. And as a company, giving your candidates the best possible experience is a competitive advantage.
Great job, ?makers. This looks so easy I feel like it's cheating 😁
@shifrin no cheating!! ;) we've tried to make it as easy as possible to set up and personalize, and much more of that coming soon. Thanks for the note!

Cool idea! From the candidate side my life would be way better if all interviews had this. Will there be an easy way to “guide” recruiters towards using this (as a candidate) so it becomes the new standard?
@jeffrechtman Thanks 😊 Great idea - we're exploring new ways for candidates to have a great Guide experience even if a company they're interviewing with isn't using Guide. We can imagine a future where companies can claim their profile, or get more exposure to candidates the more information they share.
Wow, the kind of product that makes you wonder "why didn't that exist before?". Congrats, everyone's job search experience just got a huge improvement! When do you plan on launching the premium?
@robin_choy thanks Robin 🙏 We're in the research phase for premium. Our focus currently is on nailing the core experience, learning where we can provide deeper insights and value, and then building a premium version around that.
?makers : Beautiful product! Well done! Do you allow for file attachments? i.e: Resume, interview prep guides, etc.? That's something I'd look for in this tool if I was hiring right now.
I think overall making the interview process simpler is great. I would recommend something on the intro page that shows both the interviewer and interviewee views. Maybe separable with a big slider or tab.
Also is there a way they can demo this (as both roles) without having to login with Google?
@whit1206 hey Chris, we only support G Suite accounts for login at the moment but we hope add more soon. Love the idea of showing both sides what they'll see. We've been getting a lot of requests from interviewers for something similar.

Love seeing the way this product makes the best aspects of the best recruiting experiences more polished _and_ accessible!
?makers who were your biggest influences? I'm getting vibes of early Dropbox (approachable consumer UX with functionality that works for huge orgs), Envoy (approachable white-glove NDA/VMS that gets you excited about visiting) and Lemonade (a friendly, good-vibes brand voice).
@jballer So many! When doing early research, one of our favorite 'interview guides' we found in the wild was create with Dropbox Paper which was slick. The app that most comes to mind though is Airbnb - how they are a trusted and neutral mediator between host and guest - I've personally taken inspiration from them. Thanks for the vibes, we're in great company up there.
