Great question, @dan_rozycki. We care about our students' safety and happiness a lot so we carefully interview our tutors. We ask questions to gauge their passion for teaching, motivation to join us, personality, teaching style, besides just expertise. Only a small percentage of tutors can make through the interview. After a tutor passes the interview, we run a background check on them. If you are not happy with the tutor, we will match your child with another tutor for free!

@ji_yeon_han Yes! As a student, when you send us a request, you can specify multiple time slots you're available to learn and any location you like. The location can be a specific address or a neighborhood. We'll then match you with tutors available to teach at your time and location. We also give tutors the flexibility to set their travel preferences and weekly schedule. Once you're connected with the tutor, you can discuss with him/her the future schedule and learn as frequent as you'd like.

Hi @mhnoh14. When parents submit a request, we encourage them to provide us with detailed information about their child. After that, we assign them a Personal Learning Consultant. The consultant is the parent's go-to person for everything learning related, including when they have strong opinions on the curriculum and want to inform the tutor. Of course, they can also communicate with the tutor directly about their needs and develop the curriculum together. Parents' input is essential for the tutor to have as much context about the student as possible, especially in the beginning of the relationship. After each session, we ask tutors to provide feedback on the session to the parent to keep them in the loop of their child's learning. Our goal is to facilitate communication between parents and tutors and help them get aligned on the curriculum and strategies.
