I like that you focused on flexibility instead of forcing one format on everyone. How are you planning to keep tax rules updated as regulations change across those 11 countries?

Honest answer — right now tax rates are
hardcoded as sensible defaults, but every
field is fully editable so users can adjust
to match their current local rate instantly.
For keeping rates updated long term, the
plan is:
→ Monitor official tax authority sources
for all 11 countries (HMRC, ATO, CBIC etc.)
→ Push updates whenever a rate change is
announced — VAT/GST changes are usually
announced months in advance
→ Notify Pro users by email when their
country's tax rate changes
The editable fields are actually a safety net
for this exact scenario — even if I'm a few
days behind on an update, users are never
stuck with a wrong rate they can't change.
Long term I'm exploring an auto-update system
pulling from verified tax databases. Would
love to know — which country are you based
in? Want to make sure your region is covered
correctly 😊
Love that I can just open it and start typing without signing up first. The 2-minute promise is real, and having CGST/SGST presets out of the box is a nice touch for anyone billing in India.
