Gemini doesn't let you export your conversations. Gemini Export Studio fixes that. Export any Gemini chat to PDF, Markdown, JSON, CSV, Plain Text, or PNG image — all locally in your browser. Zero data leaves your device. Key features: • 6 export formats (PDF, MD, JSON, CSV, TXT, PNG) • Deep Research export with citations preserved • Merge up to 20 chats into one document • PII auto-redaction before sharing • Google Drive + Obsidian sync • 100% free, no account, no watermarks
I'm the maker of Gemini Export Studio a Chrome extension that lets you export Gemini chats to PDF, Markdown, JSON, CSV, PNG, and Plain Text, 100% locally.
As much as I use Gemini day-to-day, the chat interface is starting to feel a bit cluttered as my history grows. I've been thinking about the quality-of-life improvements that would make the experience much smoother, but I'm curious to know what the community thinks is the highest priority.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Bunty, the maker behind Gemini Export Studio.
I built this because I use Google Gemini heavily for research and was constantly frustrated that there was no way to save or export my conversations. Copy-paste loses formatting, screenshots lose searchability, and Deep Research reports are especially painful to preserve.
So I built a Chrome extension that does this properly — export Gemini chats to 6 formats (PDF, Markdown, JSON, CSV, TXT, PNG), all processed 100% locally in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
The features I'm most proud of:
- Deep Research export preserves all source citations
- Merge up to 20 chats into one doc
- PII scrubbing for sharing
- Obsidian vault sync for PKM users
Completely free, no account needed. Would love your feedback and questions!

@bunty_shah Quick question: How does the PII scrubbing handle things like custom prompts or user-specific details in chats (beyond obvious names/emails)?
@swati_paliwal Great question! Currently the PII scrubbing uses regex patterns to detect and redact common formats: email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, API keys, and credit card patterns. For custom prompts or user-specific details that don't follow standard patterns, the scrubbing won't catch those automatically — it's more of a safety net for obvious sensitive data rather than a full content audit. We have plans to make the PII detection smarter and more customizable in future updates (e.g., letting you define your own redaction patterns). For now, I'd recommend reviewing the export preview before sharing anything sensitive. Thanks for raising this — it's exactly the kind of feedback that shapes the roadmap!

@bunty_shah Impressive. I won't have to go back to dig through chats when studying. I'll just have an offline pdf with the full contents right? Have you made sure that it captures everything? I tried converting some conversations to pdf before, it only got like 20% of the contents.
@shemojs absolutely, you will have full content exported in multiple format like PDF, markdown. Additionally, you can sync with your drive.
By default, you will be loaded 20 chats but once you scroll up it will automatically load all the chats for you.
There is instruction written on the extension.
