@rfreling Yes, it's currently only desktop web only at the moment though the older version of the app does support the mobile web. I hope you'll give it a try on your desktop and we'll be releasing the mobile web within a week or two.

SUPER curious on this so trying it out. head's up: there was an issue where i tried to move my 12PM to 2PM and it denied the action saying i can't go back in time, but overall the feel is good and i like the idea of being a bit mindless and straight RE: work; is this just a desktop tool? (would be good for my side-life as a student, studying)
general quick note: make sure your Gcal is organized right, my cal ending up a bit honky b/c of meetings that i don;t need to attend but still listed as said yes or maybe to.
@optimusdiaz Good tip, just so you know, you can select which calendars to display and consider busy in your settings. (Click your Avatar in the upper right). And yes, there is a known issue with dragging some of the events on the calendar that we are working to address. Thanks for the feedback!

@hexsprite THANKS JORDAN! Still learning how to use it, but so far it's been keeping me in check. :) Appreciate the time you took for clarity here.

Love this idea! Looking forward to trying it out. Some questions: (1) can you integrate your Google calendar with this? (2) Is it a mobile app, or just on desktop? And lastly (3), I'd love to see you integrate website-blocking features - for example, how cool would it be if I was forbidden from Facebook until I finished an urgent task? Ps - great video, very straight-forward!
@thelindiecity 1) Yes it directly integrates with Google calendar and keeps it up to date. If you add a new event in your Google calendar, then your action list will automatically reflow around it. 2) Mobile web in the next week or two, mobile app in the next month or two. 3) Love this idea! I'm a big fan of RescueTime and I think that could be a great integration.

I use freedom - the heavy weight version when I need lockdown but to have this kind of thing built in would be cutting edge :-) along with some sort of reminder a la pomodoro to get you out of your chair @hexsprite@thelindiecity
@helencrozier In some ways yes in that there is both actions and events being managed. Unlike other tools, Focuster actually helps you create the schedule based on your preferences about work hours and flows it automatically around existing events. So the end goal is to free you from having to create a schedule altogether. You just need to decide what you want to do next.

@hexsprite cool thanks.... I'm inside now and like what I see. I'll give it a whirl :-)

@helencrozier Your right, probably the same company but now there is a subscription fee.

Conceptually, I think this is the future of workflow management - email as the central repository for tasks, auto scheduled into your calendar, adjusted as work is accomplished and priorities change - as substantiated by meetings tethered to project or portfolio management systems that dial in the whole organization.
I.E. CXO moves a slider on a project, and everyone's day adjusts accordingly.
@shloky I totally agree with auto scheduling. I see the future of my product as being a constraint solver of sorts for your schedule. You provide your priorities, deadlines and desired levels of balance between the aspects of your life and Focuster will give you an optimized schedule that adapts in realtime. This product release is the 1st step in that direction.

@hexsprite@shloky I'd love that sort of control... eg put product development/client work only into morning slots and admin/email late afternoon. Fingers crossed -)

I really feel awesome!! wow

Right in time! By now, arranging tasks for the day or a longer period is probably the most painful point of planning for me. Hopefully this will solve it.
Also noticed that I have some sort of delay while typing in the task and some symbols do not get typed in because of that.
