Review Fathom?
Reviewers largely see Fathom as a reliable meeting assistant that lets them stay present while it captures accurate transcripts, fast summaries, action items, and shareable clips. Many say the free tier is unusually generous, the setup is simple, and integrations with Zoom, Meet, Teams, and some CRMs fit smoothly into daily work. “Ask Fathom” and searchable archives are frequent standouts. Complaints are narrower: mobile and phone-call support, the awkwardness of bot-based joining, some UI and search limits, and weaker team-wide analytics for larger organizations.

Been a Fathom user for a while, and 3.0 hits all the right notes. As a startup founder doing 10+ prospect/partner calls a week, the bot-free option removes the awkward "is someone else joining?" moment that always derailed the first 30 seconds. But the feature I'm most excited about is the MCP integration with Claude. The idea that I can query insights across all my sales conversations, without copy-pasting transcripts, is exactly what I've been building workarounds for. Congrats to the team on a really thoughtful release.

The UI is straightforward and easy to use. The product records at excellent quality, with the ability to automatically distribute to attendees following a meeting. Keeps our employees engaged in meetings vs head down taking notes.
The pro is really good - which you get for about 2 weeks, then you go down to the free plan and then the value diminishes greatly.
I gave it 4 stars because I think the insights should be better in the free plan. After losing the Pro benefits, I was no longer finding value in the free version. In fact, I found it annoying that it would try and join all of my calls when I didn't get value from it. Since then I've bounced around to other note takers.
There are other incentives to make me switch to Pro, like the team access. I think that's really helpful.
I think if they had made the Free plan more indispensable, I would give this a higher review.
To be honest, Fathom has made me feel like I have a real assistant during the meetings. I can highlight important points during a meeting, I can get good meeting summary and action points....all within a minute of the meeting ending. I had tried other notetakers and I think Fathom just gets it right. Premium all the way
I am addicted to using it so much that if I sometimes forget (only because I didn't automate it to join al my meetings), I can feel the difference in the amount of work I have to do

I love that Fathom is there for me if I miss anything in my meetings. I rest assured that my handy-dandy notetaker was there and I can go back, review the key takeways, notes, transcript, or even playback the video for more clarity if needed. Additionally, some of my other favorite features are that it keeps the Chat, so any comments or links I may have missed or need to go back to, I can. Ask Fathom Al is also another fantastic feature if I'm unable to quickly find something — I can just ask! Flippin brilliant! The only thing I've found challenging with Fathom was being unable to update my email address in my account settings. I had to reach out to the company, which they were very helpful and successful in doing!
Fathom is transcribing, hosting and giving me summaries of my calls. Ensuring that I can go back and retrieve the necessary information I need, while I focus on the meeting and the people on the call.
Fathom is tremendous. I'd looked at ways to capture meetings and summarise the salient action points, and out of all them Fathom is by far the best - it is effortless, straightforward, and very clever. It even picks up everything from our team members who aren't native English speakers where I might have otherwise not heard correctly.
Using Fathom I can now focus on being present in all my Teams and Zoom meetings and not worry about making notes. I have a trusted notetaker getting it all and keeping me on track.
What's really nice too is the meeting summary and action items contain links to the video recording so you can go back and double-check anything if you need to.

Over the past couple of weeks of use, I've found Fathom to be a very reliable with understanding the context of conversations.
The feature I absolutely love is the option to click on on the discussed points in the summary, and the video snaps to the timestamp where the topic was discussed.
The names/words which are not so common in English, could be handled better. Some sort of a custom dictionary per user/user group should be helpful. Fathom learning over time and adapting to the users would be a nice to have
Fathom is a great tool - the note taker arranges everything in an intuitive way that captures the flow of the meeting while feeding well into the steps that need to be taken next. Also, the customer care team reaches out to explain glitches or unexpected behaviour BEFORE I have a chance to even tell them about it - it is major proactivity and I am here for it. Oh, and I love that others can see the notes in their emails without having to join Fathom first, and yet they still are given all the information they need if they want to join - that's the best! The plugin with Chrome is also awesome - makes everything effortless.

I must admit, before coming to Fathom I was a little skeptical of automated note taking apps. Ever since COVID and video meetings, I have been an avid note taker during calls, and the notes I have taken over the last 5 years have become an invaluable resource.
Towards the end of last year, I joined a meeting where someone was using Fathom. I didn't pay too much attention because I just figured it was going to be like the other apps I'd seen in this space, none of which I was too impressed with.
However, when I got the summary, I was blown away by the quality of the transcription, and the summarised actions were fantastic.
From that moment, I signed up and now it's invited to every video call meeting I have! I really can't recommend it too highly.
Fathom has saved me so much time during and post meetings through it's clear summaries and action reports which click through to the relevant part of the recording/transcription. It has supported in referencing back but above all, allows me to commit full focus during a meeting to the other person(s) rather than having a constant distraction of writing things down.
The support, if something has gone wrong, has been very responsive, with answers or acknowledgments being received within 24 hours despite the time difference between countries.
