How do you know they are who they say they are? face2social takes that photo and finds publicly available profiles carrying the same face. One upload searches Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X, ranked by similarity. Search and preview are free — you pay only to reveal names and profile links. Hi everyone. I’m David, one of the people building face2social.
My background: I’ve spent the last four years working at computer vision startups, and I’ve now decided to launch my own product.
The problem we kept running into is very common: you have a photo of someone and nothing to check it against. A dating profile with a first name. A seller with one user picture.
A person who messaged you claiming to be someone. Searching by name is useless since thousands of people share it.
face2social solution: Upload one photo and get user profiles with the matching faces across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X all at once, ranked by
similarity, so you can compare the names, the locations and the age yourself.
Here are a few features that set F2S apart:
1) Problem solved: It goes beyond simply searching for face images online; it helps effectively identify individuals by matching profiles.
2) Input quality: The system recognizes faces even when sunglasses, hats, or beards are present, or when the angle is unconventional (within reasonable limits, of course).
3) Coverage: Major social networks - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X plus LinkedIn (coming in early October 2026).

Upload one photo. Run search and get a free preview of the matching profiles
You get candidates from all four networks, sorted by similarity.
Pick all results worth revealing. You pay per report, not per social network or number of profiles.
No match — no charge. The price is shown before you pay.
The limitations:
A face match is a lead, not proof of identity. Do your own research before concluding anything.
We search user pictures from 4 major social networks only.
We don’t search social media posts and other web pages.
If someone has no social media, we will find nothing. Unless the picture appears on someone else’s profile.
Safety and compliance:
Use of own photos or consent required
Prohibited Jurisdictions: State of Illinois (U.S.A.), the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, Canada, Russia.
There is a Delete my information process in place if you want your own social media profiles out of the index. Subject to jurisdictional regulations.
API integration:
face2social offer API, documentation can be found here https://dashboard.face2social.com/docs/. The use is subject to the same limitations outlined above and in our Terms and conditions of use.
2026 Roadmap:
1) Adding LinkedIn support (early October 2026).
2) Processing faces in posted photos and video thumbnails on Instagram and TikTok (public accounts only) - by the end of 2026.
