Unlike other apps that save bookmarks that stay unread forever, Ephemera sets a deadline that the bookmark must be read by. Miss the deadline, and that bookmark is gone. It wasn't important anyway, right? Ephemera is available for iOS and iPadOS.

This is a great idea! Love the app design. Thoughts: - It would be cool if it was possible to import links from Pocket/Instapaper. I’m sure many of us have a heap of links just sitting there.

@donni Good idea! For people with lots of links waiting to be read, what would you expect the app to assign as an expiration date? Maybe this could be configurable by the user upon import?

Hi everyone! My name is Tim and I created and recently launched Ephemera. I was sick of saving bookmarks and having good intentions of getting to them someday, only for them to pile up and be read. I created Ephemera to address this problem! Now bookmarks that I was never going to get to disappear like they never existed at all. I have been reading more and have been enjoying more of what I read. I realize Ephemera is a bit niche but I think there is a certain group of people who will find it invaluable. Ephemera is for iOS / iPadOS only for the moment. A macOS app is planned. The app is pure Swift and contains zero third party frameworks. All code written by myself.
