Hola Product Hunt fam! We're building "ChatGPT over company knowledge" so you can get a "company oracle" that can answer any question. "Teach" specific pages to your Oracle, and then chat with it in Slack or add it as a website widget. Our story: • 5 years ago: Quit Intercom and started eesel (and a few other indie projects!) • 3 years ago: We launched eesel, and it quickly got thousands of users, and became Fast Company's best new app • 1 year ago: We discovered GPT-2 (and then GPT-3 and 4 haha) and started exploring eesel AI Features: 🔮 Ask a question, get an answer: Ask it anything, and it will respond based on the knowledge you "teach" it. 🌎 Works with any app: Whether it's Google Docs, Notion or Confluence, you can "teach" it to your Oracle. ⚡️ Automatic scraper: Scrape and "teach" your public help centre or API docs to the Oracle with 1 click. 🔒 Private by design: Data is stored in a SOC2 compliant app, and never used to train ChatGPT. You don't even need to give API access to your tools. Imagine instant answers for: 🛟 Support: "What's our refund policy?", "What does error code X mean?" 👩‍💼 Sales: "Does our product do X?", "What's our DPA template?" 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 People Ops: "How do I expense?", "What is our study budget?" Alternatives There are definitely a few offerings like this out there, but none: a) Actually work with the tools we cared about: Our work isn't in PDFs or Text files but in cloud apps like Google Docs 😅 b) Give quality responses: We've spent a lot of time crafting the right prompts and improving our retrieval to give robust answers. Anyway, that's a lot of talking. It takes 2 minutes to get started, so give it a spin and see for yourself. Keen to hear how you find it! 👉 Oh and if you sign up today, you get 20% off the annual plan. That's $350 of value, ONLY for the Product Hunt signups today: https://eesel.ai 👈

I've been shouting from the hills for something like this — all the way back in January — an eternity in AI land! And now, here it is: ChatGPT over your company knowledge 🔮 There are a few other tools that promise this but none actually: ⚒️ Work with all the tools we use like Slack, Notion, Google Docs, Confluence and so on ✨ Give quality responses Nothing comes close to the elegant and subtle execution by eesel AI. It just works, has a great price point - and weirdly enough, is also fun to play with. Give it a go: https://eesel.ai 😄"

Can you guarantee that company data will not be shared with third parties? Or do we have to run offline models for that to be true?
amogh
@sentry_co We've really sweat the details when it comes to privacy. You can read more about here - https://www.eesel.app/privacy/slack. No data is ever used to train the models :)
André J
@amoghito Well, when you say data isn't used to train models, you simultaneously say the data is diced and sliced for everything else. The truth is almost everyone is failing this ATM when they use OpenAI's API so I get it. Instead of pretending everything is okay. outline what is not perfect and you will create trust with the user. Your asking for company data here, and employees could be legally liable if they expose it recklessly.
amogh
@sentry_co I'm not sure I fully understand your last message. OpenAI doesn't use any data sent to them to train their models, and they delete any data sent in under 30 days. For context, we've gone through security reviews in several large companies now, and have paying customers in industries where data security is especially important (e.g. financial services, health). I'd encourage you to read our privacy FAQ, try the app out and let me know if you have any specific questions!
André J
@amoghito I read your privacy FAQ. It's intentionally vague IMO. Can you guarantee my company data isn't sliced and diced, the FAQ does not answer this question? Also OpenAI is under heavy criticism by governments for their data practices. OpenAI's hunger for data is even stronger now that most SoMe's shut down open API. Where is openAI going to get the data? Training a model is only one side of data collection. The data can be used in other indirect ways. Saying privacy is fine is a big red flag IMO. ref: In May 2023, Samsung prohibited the use of ChatGPT and other generative AI tools. Then, in June 2023, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia followed suit, along with companies like Amazon, Apple, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Some hospitals, law firms, and government agencies have also banned employees from using ChatGPT.Jun 26, 2023 link: https://www.makeuseof.com/reason....

@sentry_co Curious what response you would expect or be happy with if "Saying privacy is fine is a big red flag". OpenAI doesn't train models with or store data sent via the API. It's in their API privacy policy. If they violate that, they will be out of business. What other information would be important to you?
