Dots is the simplest way to send and accept payments online, especially if you’re a marketplace or hiring 1099 workers. Our API accepts payments from your favorite credit card processor, PayPal, and more. It also enables payouts using Venmo, ACH, Zelle, etc.

Hey PH! I’m Sahil, one of the co-founders of Dots, along with @kartikye_mittal1. Thanks to @mwseibel for hunting us.

We’re really excited to bring you Dots, a one stop API to handle all your money movement needs. While building out the Dots digital wallet (that enables micro transactions online!) we noticed two major problems:

 1. Coordinating money between different payment systems (PayPal, Square, etc) was a large pain, and everyone we knew had duct taped some solution together.

 2. No one has built out a way to pay people in ways THEY want to be paid (Venmo, Zelle, etc) beyond just ACH. It seemed counter-intuitive that modern marketplaces were still paying people in archaic ways.

As such, we built out a single layer to handle multiple types of payments and payouts with ease. You can think of us as something similar to Stripe Connect, except for all payment types. For example, if you want to accept money via ACH, but pay out your marketplace sellers to Zelle? Just use Dots and abstract away any difficulties.

We know that our infrastructure can power the next generation of marketplaces and gig economies (creator economies included), and we’d love to help the brilliant folks of ProductHunt succeed. Dots is available at https://www.senddots.com/ and I hope you’ll check us out!

Hey folks! I’m Kartikye, one of the co-founders of Dots, along with @sahilhasan. I’m pumped to launch Dots on ProductHunt today! As we implemented our own payments infrastructure, we realized that accepting multiple types of payments quickly became a difficult task. Once we tried to add in payouts, we realized that this task quickly became incredibly time consuming, and that what the world really needed was a payments orchestration layer. So, we took the internal APIs we had built for our payments and payouts and turned them into the Dots you see today! We’re building a layer above the walled gardens of credit card processors and other payment platforms, so that developers can stop spending so much time worrying about payments and far more of their time focusing on product. If this sounds appealing to you, please reach out at https://www.senddots.com/get_sta...!

Definitely could’ve used something like this at Creative Market back in the day to simplify integrating multiple payment and payout options!

Incredible group of folks working on an interesting problem. The amount of work needed to handle each individual payment method is nontrivial and having this abstracted away sounds incredible. Excited to see where this goes
