v0 by VercelI still use Figma and occasionally experiment with v0, but pencil.dev felt like the right tool at a very specific stage of building DemoMe.
Figma is incredibly powerful, but it can be heavy when you just want to move fast and validate layout ideas. It’s amazing for detailed design systems and collaboration, but for early ideation, I wanted something more lightweight.
v0 is great for generating UI code, especially for web projects. However, since DemoMe is a native iOS app, I wasn’t looking for generated frontend code. I needed clarity in structure and flow rather than ready-to-use components.
