Dapple is an all-in-one management platform helping businesses in the creative industry collect, review, manage and report on submissions. Whether it's running calls for entry, awards, accepting applications, managing contests or pitches, Dapple streamlines the whole process into one simple-to-use platform, saving users hours in admin.

Hey PH world!
If you’ve ever tried to run an award, contest, open call, or any kind of submission or application process, you probably know the drill: scattered emails, messy spreadsheets, a mixture of forms, reviewers working in different places. If you’ve got software, it’s probably clunky, expensive and built in the 2000s.
Dapple is our answer to that.
It’s a smart, simple platform that brings everything into one place. With beautiful forms for collecting applications, intuitive tools for organising, review panels for scoring, voting and feedback and easy ways of communicating with applicants, it removes the admin chaos.
Who’s it for?
Built by creatives for creatives, Dapple is aimed at arts organisations, publishers, non-profits, creative institutions - small teams doing big, meaningful work. We wanted to build a tool that would break the mould of a dry, corporate-based application system and create one that was sleek, intuitive, transparent, and fun to use.

Who is your target audience? Because first thing that came to my mind are some sport tournaments and online games (esports)
Dapple
@busmark_w_nika Hey Nika! Our target audience is the creative industries. Our platform is built to accept any file type and size and is designed for the processes required by those industries. That being said, due to the flexibility of the workflows/forms/setup etc, we've have had a mix of inbound from adjacent industries too and so depending on the setup, we could also work with sports tournaments and online games too :)

@eric_ukeje Thanks for the feedback Eric. There's lots in the pipeline but our review panel feature (building teams of reviewers or judges to independently score, vote, comment on submissions) will be taken to the next level in subsequent releases with advanced automations and reporting. Cheers
Great idea and fantastic execution! Looks like a great platform. What's the inspiration for the name and logo?
Dapple
@skitobyte Thanks Adam! The idea behind the name was that submission and application volume has recently exploded, chiefly due to advanced tech, and predominantly AI. Creatives can make more content, quicker. Dapple helps orgs sift through all the noise and like dappled light, find those spots of creative genius.
Wow, Dapple looks amazing! The all-in-one aspect for managing creative submissions is seriously impressive. Im curious, how does the platform handle blind judging for awards?
Dapple
@jaydev13 Hey Jay. Thanks! Any creator-specific information is always hidden from any review teams by default, enabling blind submissions. Thanks!

Been there 😅 with 10 Google Sheets open. total organization hell. one of those tools you don’t think about until you’ve suffered without it

@marina_sysoeva Thanks for your comments and yeah we've all been there! Google sheets are great for some things (I use them all the time) but then as soon as you try and do more advanced things, they become a hinderance rather than a help!

Congrats on the launch! What was your inspiration or motivation to build Dapple?
Dapple
@peterclaridge Thanks! I'm originally a musician and a writer, and always found the process of either submitting demos or articles/manuscripts very cumbersome. I'd often send work off and not hear back (if at all) for months. It quickly transpired this was because creative orgs were being overwhelmed with submissions and had no real way to manage them. This then led us to try and fix the route issue - a better way to manage submissions. If we could improve the ability for businesses running creative applications, awards or contests then the net effect would be an all-around better experience for the people submitting material too!
