Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Vimal, co-founder of CourseCorrect - an AI-powered course matchmaker that helps you find the right upskilling course to actually move your career forward.
Our startup began with an expensive mistake. I spent $300 and 4 months on a course that everyone raved about, except it did nothing for my career. The truth? Picking a course online often feels like guesswork.
Most platforms want to show you all the courses. We asked: what if we just showed you the one that matters?
That’s what CourseCorrect does. It doesn’t just list options, it matches you to the right one based on your goals, skills, and experience level.
Here’s how it works:
- Our AI (Cora) asks you a few simple questions about your background and goals.
- It then scans 150,000+ courses across platforms like Udemy, Coursera, EdX etc. to compare content, reviews, pricing, skills taught etc. then recommends the top 2 courses that fit you best.
And we don’t stop there. CourseCorrect shows you the skills you will learn with the course, what job roles can open up for you and even what salary to expect after taking the course!
Our vision is to help professionals map their entire career path, showing you what to learn, when, and why it matters, so you can actually move forward with confidence.
This launch means everything to us. Hope it helps you feel a little less overwhelmed, and a lot more confident. Would love your thoughts and feedback if this resonates.

@vimal_cherangattu Tried your chatbox, very simple to understand. Can you give more options (like follow-up options or questions) for a user to choose? For example, if I choose math as topic, I may not know what I can learn if the prompt is asking me what I want to learn. Prompting what I do not know may be helpful.

@vimal_cherangattu Interesting. Does it also take into account job market trends across different countries or industries when recommending a course?
CourseCorrect
@mohsinproduct Great question! Yes — CourseCorrect factors in job market trends across industries, and even highlights complementary skills that can strengthen your path toward a role.
We don’t yet personalize by country, but that’s a super valuable idea. Thanks!

Currently trying.
Do you know what would be cool? To upload some job offer/CV/gaps in CV, and it would find the right course to enrich the candidate for that job position.
CourseCorrect
@busmark_w_nika That’s a brilliant idea, Nika! 🔥 We’ve actually been exploring ways to link course matching with CV/job postings. your suggestion just bumped it higher on our roadmap! BTW, here's the full roadmap: https://coursecorrect.featurebase.app/roadmap

Congrats on the launch @vimal_cherangattu! CourseCorrect was easy to use and quickly narrowed down courses to fit my specifications. My FTU of product and review of your roadmap suggests that there is not a way to filter by accredited university certifications. My hypothesis is that being able to list a top university on your CV and on LinkedIn, even as a certificate vs. full degree, could be more impactful than just listing completion of a course on online platforms? (edit: I did ask my own filtering question to show courses from universities, but it would ideally be built in to the algorithm/logic upfront, if my aim was "career advancement" vs. personal learning or growth. Even creating an option to filter by university certificate would be helpful)
CourseCorrect
Thanks so much @jorgeclarktan
Really thoughtful feedback. Right now, we don’t explicitly filter by university accreditation, but we do take certificate recognition and industry alignment into account as part of our ranking logic.
That said, we’ve seen your exact point come up in different user contexts especially for folks looking to boost their CV or stand out on LinkedIn. A smart filter for university-branded certs (vs. independent platforms) could definitely help clarify that intent.
Bookmarking this as we evolve to adapt more dynamically to different learning goals. Appreciate you sharing this so clearly.
Just saw you’re gearing up to launch Aster. Wishing you all the best with it!
CourseCorrect
@jorgeclarktan Thanks for the thoughtful feedback and for digging into the roadmap! 🙌 You make a great point about the value of accredited university certifications for career advancement. We’ve noted it and will explore adding a dedicated filter so it’s built right into the experience
No bias’ claims are bold! How does the AI avoid platform/incentive skew?
- Does it weight student outcomes over marketing claims?
- Can we see why a course was recommended? (e.g., grad salary data, completion rates)
- What prevents paid placements from influencing rankings?
Transparency builds trust! 🔍

@erliza_p Love this 👌 Transparency’s everything.
No pay-to-play — we don’t take money to bump courses.
Outcomes > marketing — we weigh real learner data (completion, reviews, career impact).
You’ll see why something’s recommended (not just “trust us”).
It’s built to help learners win, not platforms.

Interesting problem to solve with so many options to choose from online. How did you choose the course providers? When people self-rate their skill levels, how far off do you think they can be with the perceived vs actual skill profienciency?
CourseCorrect
@aishwaryalohi Great questions, Aishwarya! 🙌 We started by pulling from a broad mix of global providers: from big names to niche, high-quality platforms: and we’re expanding that list constantly.
On self-rating vs. actual skill levels, there’s often a pretty big gap (sometimes 30–40% off), which is why we’re working on adding quick skill diagnostic checks so the recommendations align with actual proficiency rather than just perceived confidence
