Type a prompt, get a beautiful planner. Choose a theme that feels like you, then download as a PDF. Built for weddings, hajj, new babies, big moves, and everything in between.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Usama, and I built ChecklistFox for my wife.
It started from a real frustration in our own home. When we were preparing for an important trip, we were jumping between ten different websites, copy-pasting things into Google Docs, and still felt like we were missing something. It was chaos. And for moments that actually matter in life, it really shouldn't be that hard.
So we built ChecklistFox - type what you're planning, get a beautiful checklist, download it as a PDF. That's genuinely it.
What surprised us after launching was how many people were using it for things we never even expected - baby showers, new job prep, visa applications, weekend trips with kids. People just want a simple, clean checklist they can actually use. Not a 3,000-word article.
My wife handled a lot of the design and templates — she has a great eye for what actually feels useful and I focused on the build. It's been a fun project to work on together.
It's completely free. No sign-up needed. You can go to checklistfox.com right now and have a checklist in 30 seconds.
I'd love to hear what you think and tell me what template you wish existed. We read every comment. 🦊

@usama_khalid Congratulations on the launch! Love the idea - we all need checklists for organizing a variety of personal and business applications. Would be cool to set up a profile so you can save your templates/checklists.
I love products that come from solving a real problem at home. Those are often the ones that end up helping the most people.
I'm curious, what was the most unexpected checklist people started creating after launch that made you think, "We never saw that use case coming"?
Wishing you and your wife an amazing launch! 🎉

the life event framing is smart. weddings and big moves are exactly when people want a planner that feels personal instead of a project tool. one question. a pdf freezes the plan at the moment you download it and plans change weekly. can i come back to a checklist, edit two steps, and regenerate the same design? or is each pdf a fresh prompt? repeat use feels like the difference between a tool and a one time toy.
One question: how much does adding detail to the prompt change the list? Does "weekend trip to the mountains with a toddler" get me a meaningfully different checklist than just "weekend trip"?
@berat7h4n yeahh! Prompts stay private from other users (we dont store them) but pass through our LLM (OpenRouter), and PDFs you download are optionally saved. You're not locked in either, edit anything, anytime, it auto-saves.

Does the AI tailor the checklist items based on the prompt or is it pulling from a fixed library of templates behind the scenes?

@david_vilalta it completely changes if you give more context to AI. Yes. It will give diffferent checklist if you add toddler.
Does the AI keep my prompt private, and can I edit the checklist after it generates or am I locked into whatever it spits out first?

@cennetjgkb Great question! it generates fresh item every time based on the prompt.
Congrats on launching! How does the checklist generation work: AI-driven from free text, or template-based?
ChecklistFox
@julia_demyanchuk Thanks! we're using both
Nice concept! I can definitely see this being useful for one-off life events. Are you planning to add collaborative checklists in the future?

@suchana_pal yeah, we plan to add it very soon.
