Really excited to start using this. So far my two main points of feedback are that: 1. One desktop (and maybe mobile) when I go to add something to a list and I don't have lists, it doesn't tell me how to create lists, but just shows an empty section of the page. 2. When I click on the top left logo on desktop web it takes me to a page to download apps, not the true homepage of using the app. I keep clicking it because I'm used to that logo taking me home on every other website. And one minor suggestion, add default profile pictures for people. When you list out suggested famous people to follow, it looks weird when some have a picture and others don't. Adding another point of feedback. On desktop I don't see a way to edit lists. I accidentally created a list without a name twice now, and they're just stuck there. I can't get rid of them and I can't add the name. Oh, and the chat box that you can open in the bottom right needs a more obvious way to close it. @grahampark Thanks for great feedback Graham! The web app has some catching up to do and the priority is mobile first but these are valid and concrete action points that we need to fix.

Hello... just downloaded the app and imported my Goodreads lists. Am looking forward to using Bookself... just a couple suggestions: -would like to be able to sort books by name or by author. I have over 1100 books and it's time-consuming to scroll through the entire To Read list for a particular title. -would like to be able to display an entire list (using a scrollbar) -would like to be able to print an entire list

@donna_d Thanks for the feedback Donna! We are looking into filtering and sorting for your books and making it possible to get better overview of them in a separate view. It will likely be out within a week or so on mobile and two weeks on the web!

@miles_scherrer Is there any way a functionality could be added whereby we could import our own books? I have exported my entire Goodreads booklist into an Excel sheet so I can compare it to what was successfully imported into Bookself. Then I would like to find a way to add the remaining books myself.

The concept looks very good, I want to try it, but the app keeps crashing it when I try to open it (the issue started after I registered with Facebook using a S9+)

Can't recommend...yet. Looks great, but: Goodreads sync is slick but doesn't support enough material yet (synced mid-100s from Goodreads collection >400); won't be really useful until material and algs support real recommendations (I just get a generic list of airport books at the moment). Good luck with further development, current version is really pretty and it would be great to get away from Goodreads!

@stuartb67 Thanks Stuart! The algo recommendations improve for every book you add to your reading list, it should be just as good or better than Goodreads or Amazon's recommendations. We do want to leverage personal recommendations first though and use algorithmic recommendations second. We have some issues for larger Goodreads imports but hope to solve it within the coming days.

I love bookself! It’s a perfect way for me to keep track of all the good books I want to read. The best part is that I can interact with others that love this as much as I (& it’s so easy!). Im sorry Goodreads but from now on I’m a bookselfer!

I started using Bookself early on as a way of keeping track of all the books I need to read. It's nice to see what other people and friends are reading and it also allow me to share my books(h)elf. Love the new update with free audio- & ebooks. Looking forward to see what new features you will come up with!
