Great concept, design, etc., but the lack of traction and social graph made it a poor experience.

So excited to see you finally launch. I'm always recommending Oku to friends, it really feels like being in a book club, and the web app is so polished that I could keep it open all the time. Congrats team!

Wow! You guys really did an excellent job with this. I created an account an hour or so ago (https://oku.club/user/ndl) and was so in love with the product I spent 45~ mins exploring it & manually adding some of my books (most are unread, haha). The UI is great. I'm sure this will have exceptional utility — I currently use Bookbuddy and this is much better & obviously it has the community aspect as well.
My only gripe would be the search algorithm. A good amount of books I searched for weren't available (or only available in other languages). An option to recommend books to be added would be great.

Been following their journey for a whole – love the new name, and the app is leaps and bounds better than GoodReads.

I've been using Readng (now Oku) since the open beta, and I've fell in love with it the very seconds I dig into it.
Being the simplicity of the product, the well created UI and the honesty of the team's communication, it's been great from beginning to end.
While I still didn't feel the need of subscribing because I don't use the product enough to require the additional features such a reading goal, stats & cie, I would love to be able to purchase something like a "Support Pack", allowing to give money to the team to support their effort, even if it's just a one time purchase.
That being said, never say never, maybe using Oku will bring me a sense of accomplishment enough that I'd want to get into the reading competition and share my reading stats!
Congrats team, and keep up to good work! ✌️
Note: I don't use the mobile version, only the desktop one, and I love that you took care of crafting a solid desktop experience!
