I built Blindfold because I almost shared a photo publicly without realising my exact GPS location was hidden inside it. Device name, timestamp, everything — all invisible but readable by anyone who received the file. I'm not a developer. I used Claude for architecture and Lovable to generate the code. Zero coding background. This is my first shipped product. Everything runs in your browser. No uploads. No servers. Why do so many people unknowingly share hidden metadata?

While building Blindfold, I was surprised by how much information files can contain by default.

Photos can include GPS coordinates and camera details.
PDFs and Office documents often contain author names, software versions, and editing history.
AI-generated images may include C2PA or generation metadata.

That's what motivated me to build a tool that removes metadata entirely in the browser no uploads required.
