Review Blender?
Reviewers see Blender as a deeply capable, all-purpose 3D tool that handles modeling especially well, while also covering animation, rendering, compositing, editing, and file conversion. Several say the learning curve is real: the interface can feel cluttered, complex, and slow to master, though many add that it becomes practical and intuitive with time, helped by tutorials, community support, and add-ons. Makers of Umbrel and Netlify also cite it for fast product visualization, asset design, realistic materials, and production work.

As a 3D artist, I can confidently say that Blender is a game-changer. It's free, easy to use, and packed with features that rival expensive software. With Blender, you can create stunning 3D models, animations, and visual effects. Plus, it has an active community and endless tutorials to help you learn and grow!
Superb piece of kit, not only because it is free, but because the community buttresses it with any missing features that other software packages may have. In my 8 years of using it in the 3D art space, I have not yet encountered a reason to use any other 3D modelling software. Highly recommend you jump aboard!
Blender has been my number one tool throughout my 6+ years as a 3D artist. I started working in game development with Blender 2.8 (it was in beta), back when people used to make fun of anyone using Blender for gamedev. Less than a year later, the entire 3D team at the company was pushed to learn it — and now they use only Blender.
It’s hands down the best software for 3D modeling, motion tracking, animation, video and audio editing, cartoon painting, compositing, sculpting… and probably a few more things I’m forgetting. Oh, and the best part? It’s free.
Blender has been a real revelation for me in the world of 3D modeling and animation. Its capabilities are astounding, ranging from creating simple models to complex animations and visual effects. The powerful rendering engine is particularly impressive, allowing for high-quality images and videos. The interface can seem daunting for beginners, but over time, I grew accustomed to it and appreciated its flexibility and customizability. The large community and abundance of free tutorials make the learning process more accessible and enjoyable. Blender has become an indispensable tool in my arsenal for game creation, and I am glad I chose it
Blender is powerful, especially considering that its model is free to download (open source licensed).
I develop plugins for Blender, this is where it sometimes can frustrate. The API has a few gotchas that really catch out new comers and sometimes things are not immediately obvious from documentation.
All in all though, the tool is powerful, stable and has a large team of full time dedicated developers that are making constant improvements
"I've been using Blender for over ten years for all kinds of 3D-related work. I firmly believe in the project and see that over the years it has developed into a tool that competes seriously with industry standards. I use it every day and trust that it will continue to evolve in the wonderful way it has so far. Hopefully, they'll give the UI/UX a review soon. Then it would be almost perfect."
Despite of the fact I spend 90% of my work time using Zbrush for sculpting, Blender is great alternative to any industry standard software that allows to wear many hats as 3d artist.
So many features !
A need to have in a toolbag !!
My first use of Blender was to use it as a converter for various files formats !
And, after some time, I decided to start a journey to learn, and, with Blender, what a pleasure : WE ALWAYS LEARN NEW THINGS, new ways of making, baking, "cooking" 3D stuff in a more efficient and productive way, ginving "reality" to most of the ideas we can have !!
Best opensource tool I have ever seen.
In short: you can do a complete 3D movie. 3D Animation.
You can also use it for 3D printing etc.
The only downside: you need to know what you want to do & you need time to learn in order to get into a creative flow. But a lot of helpful tutorials can be found.
Blender is a great modeling program—I use it all the time! It’s incredibly versatile. However, I wish the developers would focus more on modeling rather than texturing, sculpting, and geometry nodes, as there are more specialized programs for those tasks.
El mejor programa Opensource ojala freecad y otros programas de diseño y dibujo tuvieran esta comunidad de desarrollo.
Además los plugins y programas de terceros a costo reducido permiten seguir mejorando y transformando esta herramienta.
