As one of the early adopters of Beam, I really like the ability to bring in a single app/window from other machines on my local network to get things done. It works really well and keeps distractions to a minimum. Congrats @hnshah and team on the launch.
@hnshah @adityapandya Thanks Aditya, and thank you for being with us early! Fewer distractions is such a great way to put it. Just the one window you need, right where you’re working.
Good work, any plans to make this available for phones ?
Great app but it won't run on an Intel Mac - bummer. This would have been a great app to breathe life into an old Intel Mac Pro.
I beta tested this thing for nearly a month. Incredibly useful and should be an instant purchase for anyone managing 2 or more Macs
@samasante Free to try and solves a real workflow problem. Definitely an interesting tool for mac users.
Beam is awesome, I use it in my day to day to manage my fleet of macs. Screen sharing is a huge pain, Beam makes everything infinitely easier.
Congrats Hiten and Sam on the launch. Running agents on a headless Mac mini is exactly where Screen Sharing gets clunky, so getting one window into Cmd-Tab makes a lot of sense. Curious how it handles an app on the mini that pops a modal or opens a new window mid-task: does that new window beam over automatically, or do I go back to the picker for it?
@genedai Great question! It’s automatic. A modal or sheet comes over attached to its window, and new windows the app opens appear on your Mac on their own. So things like Quick Look previews and Open and Save dialogs just work, right where you’d expect them, without ever going back to the picker.
