We have been using Back4app for a student React project,and the Back4app solution has really helped us keep focus on learning the coding part and saving more complicated backend setup stuff for later. Since we are making a fairly small project, we cannot speak to how the backend would hold up for more large scale projects (or how well the functionality fits for those purposes), but for smaller projects like ours, Back4app is a very solid solution! The support team also responds to messages very quickly and are helpful and accommodating. This is especially helpful since we are fairly new to coding and might run into more issues than more seasoned programmers. Overall it has been a very nice tool/service to work with!

I have been using b4a for over 4 years now. It has greatly increased my development to get our products to production much quicker. The free tier is perfect for development and testing. I've had no issues and they provide great features, including Live Query (websockets), cloud code, easily create tables, manage permissions in detail for each table, and view logs quickly. Tech support is quick to respond and always have a quick fix. Highly recommend if you want to get your product up and going quickly. I am an experienced developer and have no problem working in SQL and NoSQL dbs, but this is the way to go for fast, reliable development.

At first I was looking for an affordable hosting for our indie project. Back4app provided Parse platform back-end and for minimal traffic for development it came out to be free. Then they started Container as a Service platform as well and currently I am testing free version for headless CMS for miniblog in our project. So for now they provide almost all the backend we need (for development) and all that still in free tier. Except what I expected they even provide AI help with Dockerfile if something doesn't seem quite right. I have spent a lot of time searching for backend solution for independent app and Back4app was (and I feel still is) best fit for our needs.

I am using Back4App to host Parse Server, initially developed by Facebook but now open source. In 2023, the Parse platform is not as trendy as similar Google or Amazon offerings, but it is mature, performant, and, once you learn it, really easy to develop with. The platform is also host agnostic, so you are not stuck with a service provider. The host-agnostic aspect of the platform is nice, but I don't know if I will ever switch from Back4App. Their pricing is good, uptime is a non-issue, and their support is top-notch. I've only submitted a few tickets, but they've responded quickly and helped me resolve my issue each time. No complaints, directing me to docs, or telling me I need to pay more. Just good service. In addition to submitting tickets, they support a community slack channel so you can ask broader questions.

Great. I really enjoy using it as my backend for my clients' projects. I switched from sql to back4app and the learning curve is not painful, quite the opposite. I prefer to program using classes for data entities, encapsulating methods and attributes, and the experience with the Parse SDK to manipulate data in back4app through Javascript classes is very rewarding. The dashboard gives me a broad view of my data, allowing me to create a series of tests for new functionality in my applications. It is simple and effective to use.

As a company owner, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to maintain a stable development environment. However, Back4App has been a game-changer in streamlining this process with their cutting-edge technology. Previously, we used Parse Server in our infrastructure, hosted on Heroku, created S3 Buckets in AWS, rented DBs from MongoAtlas, bought redis add-ons from Heroku, and the list went on and on. Building and maintaining these components to run Parse Server smoothly was a time-consuming job. But thanks to Back4App, it has become incredibly easy! We are now saving both time and money, and onboarding new developers has become much easier with Back4App's constant generation of new documentation, videos, and support through their Slack channel, all provided by their fantastic support team. To sum it up, working with Back4App has been an absolute pleasure thus far, and we look forward to seeing it continue to thrive in the future.

Back4App is amazing. They has basically let us focus on adding business value to our 1500+ small business customers rather than worry about production issues. The amount of effort and people they replace is hard to measure, but we feel like we have a "dev ops" in a box with them. We've managed to keep our production environment at 4 9s over the last year, and the few times we've had system level issues they are always quick to respond and figure out the issue for us. Highly recommend.
