What's the dumbest reason you've ever lost a customer?

Genuinely curious. Not "they bounced because of pricing" or "the product wasn't a fit" the dumb stuff. Phone died mid-call. Got their email wrong. Forgot to call back. Sent the invoice to the wrong person.

I'm a solo founder (in HVAC school, of all things) building an AI receptionist for tradespeople and the more I talk to plumbers and electricians, the more I realize the difference between $0 and $50k a month is sometimes just whether someone picked up the phone.
