I started to build this tool after seeing professionals — from local council staff to small business owners — cite the wrong legislation or waste hours trying to find what actually applied to their situation, and also noticing that I needed to click into many sites to find the information I needed for my job.
Australia's multi-level jurisdiction system (Federal, State, Territory and Local government, plus some offshore territories) is genuinely complex. There was no simple navigation layer for non-lawyers.
I have started with Information & Records legislation — my specialist area — and have been expanding into Building, Finance and more.
It's a work in progress and I'd love feedback from anyone working with legislation.
My goal is to make this a single destination — find the legislation, the relevant standard, and the agency or commissioner responsible for administering it, all in one place.
