Hey PH! 👋
I'm a solo dev and this is basically me vs. my own bad study habits turned into an app.
The problem: I kept making flashcards by hand, losing them, and then cramming the night before exams like a chaos gremlin. So I thought — what if AI just… does the tedious part?
What Atrio does:
Drop in a PDF, photo of your notes, or just paste some text → AI turns it into flashcards
Uses FSRS-5 (the actual science-backed algorithm, not just "show random cards")
Plan your exams, see a burn-down chart, panic productively
What I learned building this:
I'm better at writing code than marketing (hence this comment being awkward)
The AI import was supposed to be a "simple weekend project" — it was not
My beta testers told me the first version was "fine" which is engineer-speak for "please redo the whole thing"
I'm a one-person team, no VC money, just vibes and too much coffee.
Looking for beta testers! If you're a student (or know one) who wants to try it — hit me up at beta@atriocards.com or just sign up at atriocards.com. I read every single email and will probably reply with too many exclamation marks.
Thanks for checking it out. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go fix whatever bug the first 50 signups will find. 🫠
