@ricardo_luz Hey Ricardo! This is a great question. It basically came from our own need. We were exploring other side project ideas and we wanted to validate our assumptions. We tried to run user interview but that was a struggle (low reply rate, huge delays to get on an actual call). We then considered running a survey to reach more people faster, but we quickly realised our questions required to adapt to the user answers and to dig deeper. That's at this moment that my friend Arindam suggested the idea of using AI to build "smart surveys".

@exo_cody Thanks for the cool feedback! Yeah we actually started with some interviews for our own side projects. We managed to get close to 50 answers in just 3 days on our first interview, and the insights were similar if not better than what we would have had in traditional interviews. That's how we've started considering building a real product out of it!

Some of the directions we're considering are ways to make it easier to recruit participants directly from AskMore, adding some "enterprise" features like shareable reports, expanding on new types of interviews like usability testings etc. Let us know what you think would be interesting if you end up giving it a try! @jakeharr Thanks a lot Jake! We'll definitely have a look at AffordHunt, seems like a super interesting concept for an app like ours. I'd say our biggest challenge has probably been building with AI in my opinion (Arindam might have a different answer!). We spent a lot of time crafting the different prompts we use in AskMore and it's really time consuming to test different versions of the prompts, measure the impact etc. There's just no real toolkit for people building on top of AI yet.

@kate_rusalovich Hey Kate! It really works like a real interview, so participants can just reply that they don't want to answer and the AI will keep moving just like a real user researcher wouldn't force someone to answer.
