I'm Willem, and I built Anqer because I kept failing at something I genuinely cared about: staying meaningfully connected to the people who matter most in my professional life.

I'd meet someone great — a potential investor, a collaborator, an old contact at the right moment in their career — and then life would happen. Three months later I'd remember them, reach out with something generic, and feel the awkwardness of arriving too late.

CRMs didn't help. They just made me feel guilty for not logging calls I didn't have time to log.

So I started from a different question: What if the system did the remembering for you?
