SoftwareTeam turns any AI—GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc., or your own API key—into a structured software team using simple markdown instead of complex platforms. Predefined roles (Product Owner, Architect, Developer, Tester) collaborate in a repeatable workflow, generating code, docs (requirements, design, test plans/reports), and tests. One-command setup gets you started instantly. Supports git-based(including auto PR creation, multi-agent PR review) as well as local-to-your-machine workflows.

Hey everyone!
I built SoftwareTeam after noticing how unstructured AI coding can feel. I found myself constantly prompting, correcting, and guiding every step—basically acting as the “system” behind the AI.
So I asked: what if the system already existed?
SoftwareTeam turns any AI tool into a structured software team with roles like Product Owner, Architect, Developer, and Tester—all collaborating through simple markdown files.
It supports both local workflows and GitHub-based development, including automated multi-agent PR reviews via GitHub Actions.
It’s fully open-source and free, follows a 'bring your own API key' model so you can use your preferred AI provider, and includes a one-command setup wizard to get started quickly.
I’d love your feedback:
- Does this feel like a better way to build with AI?
- What would you want from an AI “team”?
Thanks for checking it out!
