I've been using Afforai.ai for nearly a year, which has transformed how I work. The platform is intuitive, and powerful, and significantly boosts my research. I also use it to help me learn new skills by uploading manuals and documents and assisting me in performing various tasks. I already had a Tier 2 AppSumo deal from last year. With their recent appearance on AppSumo, I upgraded to the highest tier (Tier 3). Although Tier 2 also has advanced features like unlimited chatbots and access to top-tier AI models such as Azure GPT-4 and Claude v3 Sonnet, I decided to get the highest tier to support Alec and the team. Additionally, Tier 3 provides certainty that I will not run out of requests with their fair use policy, offering 50 interactions every 3 hours. That is more than enough for my needs. Alec, one of the co-founders, has been outstanding in providing timely and helpful responses whenever needed. His support has made the overall experience seamless. I highly recommend Afforai.ai for anyone looking to leverage AI in their research and studies. It's a game changer!

Afforai: Game Changer for Researcher Assistance It’s been a great help with my research and documentation work. The citation system and notes feature are fantastic and make organizing my work a breeze. However, there's some room for growth. One thing I'd love to see is more development on the API side, especially the ability to upload files. This would make the app even more versatile and useful for a wider range of tasks. Overall, Afforai shows a lot of promise, and I'm really excited to see what new features they’ll roll out in the future.

I've been using Afforai since October 2023 and it is my go-to platform when I need accurate and detailed analysis of PDFs and technical matters, and research. It has been developing consistently and quite rapidly and the support is fast and helpful. Mixing and matching chatbots with data sources is really helpful, and the citations are key to validate the sources of answers when you need to be certain that it is the truth. I'm sure the product will develop a lot more and become a mainstay for reliable analysis of sources of complex information.

To have the ability to learn, analyze, and interact with a document on any topic just blew me away. From multiple choice answers, true or false, Q & A creation of the most common pitfalls or best advice for the end consumer, the list goes on and on. The ability to literally train your own chatbot on a particular topic and have it available at the click of a mouse is to me incredible. I am using it for content on the subject of my interest and for education as well. I feel the more I interact, the more and better ideas keep flowing with the different applications. The flexibility to read beyond PDF and into Word, Excel, and PPP gives this app a huge advantage over competitors. I am glad I found it. This is a keeper.

I am no AI novice, with a 20-year background in setting up teams for 'generative' AI projects. So the current wave of transformer-based AI is both very exciting and strangely expected. However, the current wave of generative AI from the likes of OpenAI are just scratching the surface. When these types of services are enriched with client-owned data, and search and processed along with the generative AI, you get MUCH better results and can perform deep investigations into large sets of information. This is known as RAG (retrieval-assisted generation). RAG is not too hard to implement... if you are a developer and understand how to refine how data gets 'embedded' into vector databases. And that is not most of us. AfforAI looks to be a ready-made RAG service for people who do not want or need to know what is going on behind the scenes. To test AfforAI, I uploaded 300+ research papers (mostly PDFs) relating to a very tricky question about corporate different types of training programs and staff retention. Using AfforAI, I was able to confirm that while there was a strong correlation between training in general and staff retention, it was not possible to determine which types of training were most effective because there are too many other factors to consider. This was pretty much what I expected, but it was great to see how about 3 weeks of 'readings' could be condensed into 4 hours (most of which was sourcing research from journal databases). So AfforAI is brilliant for research. I then decided to try another scenario. I uploaded about 3mb of text relating to a TV show: characters, plot lines, etc. I then asked AfforAI about the show - in most (not all) cases the answers were spot on. Then I asked the AI to create new characters and episodes. It absolutely shone with this task. No. I am NOT saying it should write the scripts for the shows! This was a test, and a very successful one at that. Finally, I started to use some of the prompts I use with OpenAI calls. The quality of response was on par with, and in a few cases better, than GPT 3.5. Now that AfforAI allows you to add your own AI keys to the service, it should be possible to leverage other generative AI services in the future. I look forward to this. My only wish is that the service would use storage limits rather than a limit of the number of documents uploaded. I have about 4,000 small research documents from my team I'd love to upload, but am limited to 1000 docs at a time. I would also like to see a more robust file management capability. Loading documents into folders, and allowing folders to be deleted, added and removed from agents, etc. I am sure those more robust features will come. In addition, I'd like to have the ability to refine the document ingestion parameters, including the ability to set some meta data.

I recently started using Afforai as my go-to AI research tool, and it has been a game changer. I love love love it. This marks my first review. And, tier upgrade. Big ups, Afforai team. I have used and experimented with several different chatbots. However, since my use case is a little more personal than a website bot, i.e. I’m not business, it seems like the perfect fit. I use it across multiple topics, some I am well-versed in and others... not so much e.g. pulling insights, identifying discrepancies and ensuring consensus across research papers; understanding specific legal cases with supporting legislation, documentation, precedents, transcripts, implications and more; medical textbooks to understand the topic better or to engage with the specific part I'm interested in without missing additional info that may be in another section; grabbing all that useful stuff from non-fiction books, and more. I think of it as the line that connects the dots in my random thinking: I know where I wanna go (or sometimes kind of know), and it gets me there. It's like the Blinkist catered to you (you're in control of the level of detail, specificity, and type of deep dive, which allows you to tailor the intricacies and nuances you want to receive in its output. Plus, Google is integrated so you can check the veracity too.). I appreciate what it offers already, and I'm genuinely excited to see where it goes to solidify further the unique niche it's carved for itself (I'll be making some suggestions on your roadmap soon). etc., transcripts, medical textbooks, advertising and more. Afforai is easily the best AI research assistant tool I've tried so far. As a researcher Afforai's ability to quickly analyse collections of research papers and books comes close to being an academic superpower. I've previously used HeyGPT, Elicit, and, occasionally, Perplexity, but Afforai's well-designed interface and powerful research workflow design has quickly it my default. The development team seem to be exceptionally dedicated and have shipped significant updates within a couple of days of my purchasing the tool Overall, Afforai is at an early stage in its development, and I'm excited to see how it grows in the future.
