I'm Ethan, the maker of Acedit, and I'm incredibly excited (and a little nervous!) to finally share it with you all!
The Story:
Like many side projects, Acedit was born from a personal pain point. My brother was prepping for a tech interview and really struggled with structuring STAR method responses on the spot. Watching him, I thought, "Why isn't there a smart tool that can help during the actual interview, not just before?"
As a full-stack dev working the 9-5 grind, I spent the last 8 months pouring my nights and weekends into building that solution. It wasn't easy juggling a full-time job, learning the quirks of Chrome extensions, and optimizing AI for real-time use, but the mission kept me going.
What is Acedit?
Acedit is an AI-powered interview coach that lives in your Chrome browser. It's designed to help you:
🎓 Prepare Smarter: Upload a job description and your resume, and Acedit generates personalized practice Q&A. You can even practice with AI mock interviews.
🎯 Ace the Live Interview: This is the core! During your actual online interviews (on platforms like Google Meet, Zoom, Teams running in the browser), Acedit listens for questions and provides real-time, AI-generated answer suggestions tailored to your experience (using your resume, LinkedIn profile, and even custom STAR examples you provide).
✍️ Craft Killer Applications: It also includes an AI tool to help generate tailored cover letters.

Great question. I'd have to say the Interview Simulation is my favorite feature. It really combines the live AI assistance during calls with the crucial interview prep users need to feel confident and land that job.
We've actually just spent some time working with Gabber.dev to make the simulation's voice sound more natural too!

Congrats on the launch, go Acedit! I like the holistic end-to-end approach you are going for. Covering the whole application journey with a powerful AI agent is great. As a hiring manager, I'd also love if solutions like this contribute to actually finding the right match for job seekers and companies. More often than not, candidates relying too much on the answers from an agent alone can be spotted and leave a bad impression. I'd wish for a high degree of personalization and representing the unique candidate well and authentically.

Cool! Just a quick idea:
Decimals in prices like $75.00 or $45.00 add no real value — just extra digits that trick our monkey brains into thinking it’s a higher price than it is. Just a clean, sleek $75 and $45 would be better
