Hey Product Hunters! 👋 I'm excited to introduce Yist, a Mac app that transforms how you work with GitHub Gists. As a developer, I often found myself struggling to manage my growing collection of code snippets and notes. That's why I created Yist. Key features: 1. Seamless sync between local and GitHub Gists 2. Create and edit Gists offline 3. Organize with local collections 4. Syntax highlighting for various languages 5. Quick creation from clipboard or drag-and-drop Yist is designed to boost your productivity and keep your code snippets at your fingertips. It's perfect for developers, students, or anyone who loves to keep their notes and code organized. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Try Yist today and let me know how it improves your workflow! Happy coding! 🚀

@morphinewan A very good tool. It just solved my problem. Sometimes when the network is not good (you know), I want to access the code snippets recorded on Gist, and at that time Yist is very useful!

@loggerhead Yes, this was indeed the original motivation behind developing Yist. Thank you for your support!

Cool, gist always floating around and a manager would help a lot. Is it a paid or free app? Or free with a subscription?
Wan Yi
@hackerqed Thanks for your interest! Yist is free to download. You can browse and view gists for free. For creating and modifying gists, we offer a subscription. This helps us maintain and improve the app.

@morphinewan thank you and this is a wise strategy

Hey Wan Yi, For users with a large number of Gists, does Yist offer any search or filtering capabilities to help manage the collection? Congrats on the launch!
Wan Yi
@kyrylosilin Search functionality is already integrated into the app. I'm not entirely sure about the scale of 'large number of gists' you're referring to. Please download Yist and give it a try. If you encounter any issues, feel free to contact me. Yist is continually evolving, and I hope it will keep improving to meet everyone's needs.
