👋 Hi all, so here's the background story on my latest product:
I'm turning 30 in two weeks and I was really sad to find out I wasn't included in Forbes' 30 under 30. 😢
That got me thinking about how I started BetaList almost seven years ago. I found it hard to get press coverage for my app so I built my own tech publication. 💪🛠
Today I did the same for the 30 under 30 list. I build my own list. It's not just for people under 30 though. Anyone under the age of 100 can get listed. Heck, if you're 100+ years young I'll list you anyway. Just don't tell anyone!
I decided to make it a paid product, because I like money. The first profile was $1 and the price increases by $1 for every profile all the way up to $100.
@marckohlbrugge “I decided to make it a paid product. Because I like money”
Absolutely the best thing I’ve read on Product Hunt. Hats off to you sir. Couldn’t agree more.
@marckohlbrugge I too am turning 30 in 3 weeks and my only qualms with the big milestone is that i'm not featured ;). Otherwise, bring on the next decade amiright.

Hello @marckohlbrugge, love the idea! And would even be more valuable for all who have signed up if all the 100 seats would be sold. Do you have any plans for this before you turn 30? :) Would you be open to us helping you?
@be_creatv yeah trying to figure out how to keep promoting it. it got covered by TNW which helped with sales, but with the increasing price it seems like the barrier might be getting too high
@marckohlbrugge after a 5 min. lonestorming, here is an idea: email some well known people who got in the Forbes' 30 under 30 and tell them that this would be a slick way to boost their triumph and offer their fans a way they too can get on the list if they too missed out. I know it's a longshot and needs some fine-tuning and the right minded hero, but i feel that this could be one simple way to go about it. And of course emailing other wired news sites and linking that TNW already covered you.
@brunolemos Whoops. That $99 is the old price! Fixing now.

The 30 Under 30 List is a very interesting one but, for the people who, because of age or other reasons, didn't make it, this is probably on the way to become the next best option.
Pros:
As someone who knows an entrepreneur who didn't get on the 30 Under 30 list, I find this option fun and useful.
Cons:
Having to pay, even if it is very little, takes away from the list's credibility somehow
@valereonmobile That's not possible. If there's enough demand there might be an opportunity here for a black market for people to resell their place. Quick! Someone buy up all the remaining slots!
