Brian Femminella
We built SoundMind because we recognized a global problem: access to mental health care. As members of the military, LGBTQ+, and AAPI communities, we quickly realized the wide access gap for those who experience and live with trauma, anxiety, and PTSD. On average, 112.8M Americans with trauma and anxiety have difficulty managing their symptoms. So, we sought out research-based software to help combat this epidemic and our findings showed that less than 10% of mental health apps are rooted in user-focused, research-based and trauma-informed approaches. Today, we’re ready to turn real-time engagements into outcomes that show progress on your mental health goals powered by music and sound therapy. Music has always had the power to soothe and heal the soul. And now, with SoundMind, you can harness that power to improve your mental health and wellbeing. SoundMind’s revolutionary new audio and visual therapy system uses music to reduce stress and anxiety, calm your mind, focus your attention, and improve your sleep. What We Offer: Create your own soundscapes by mixing music and ambient sounds from nature that are specifically tailored to your needs. Match your current vibe and meet any disruptive mood or DSM-5 disorder with the power of binaural beats: an auditory illusion capable of altering your brain’s mood state, all backed by research. Leverage our Journaling and Mood Tracker: the perfect tool for anyone who wants to journal, but doesn’t know where to start. Experience the power of data and reflection by receiving week-by-week evaluations on your mental health progress! Using SoundMind for Teams? Or Students? Track their mental health journey, all anonymously, of your community with our brand new, data-centered platform that puts you in charge of bettering wellness within your organization. Thought we stopped at music therapy, binaural beats, and journaling? Actually, we’ve also brought musical affirmation-boosts to SoundMind. Listen today for your morning boost, resiliency training, and more! *Military Exclusive*: Lifetime free subscription for active duty military members and veterans. SoundMind was created to address the mental health epidemic. Today, we are focused on providing accessible mental healthcare to those in need and we provide to youth groups such as the Boys and Girls Club of America and school districts nationwide. But, our mission goes beyond students; we believe that mental health care is the future of employee benefits. Talk to your employer or human resources officer today about the budget of your employee assistance program (EAP) and find out how SoundMind can become a free resource for you, because mental health is health. Please share feedback, questions, comments! And share with your family, friends, and anyone you know who could use revamp on their mental health! Enjoy SoundMind Premium. Built by us, for you. <3 Love, Team SoundMind

Hey, congrats on the launch! Back-to-back mental health product launches🚀. Since it's yet to release for Android, I have subscribed to the waitlist. Good luck :) I don't know why I was expecting soothing music when I visited your website, I also put my earphones on🙈
Brian Femminella
@vishal_godhwani coming to Android soon! I’ll be sure to message when it’s coming out. Also, you are right, our website should have a bit of a revamp. In fact, I have some news, we are about to launch our brand new website that gives you the ability to listen to some soothing music from our app and test our our visual beats.. directly from the website! It’s important we are always providing a bit of music. The mental health space is so important, and I’m happy we are able to play our part in helping others
Vishal Godhwani from Brew Money
@brianfemminella super! some soothing music and indication to the users of the website that something is playing in the background would be a great experience!
Brian Femminella
@vishal_godhwani it’s coming in the next couple of days! Couldn’t agree with your more. We have actually gotten a lot of user feedback on how they use SoundMind for focus in the background!
John Orlando Rodriguez
@vishal_godhwani the website is up and looking 😍 and here's a little secret... go to soundmind.app and the middle animation allows you to see and hear our visual beat clips--firsthand! Go check it out and play around to see what you can expect once we release for Android! 🎉
Vishal Godhwani from Brew Money
@johorodriguez Hey, the new website looks ❤️. Each section is very well designed. I also love how you want to connect with your users using drift. Just a suggestion, will that be a user interview call or an app demo? If you could share more about it on the website or drift, it would help. I'm sorry I couldn't find the section you wrote about music, is it above feels like we've got 99 problems?

SoundMinders, How are you liking the journaling feature? Do the guided journal entry questions help you process and reflect on your feelings and behaviors or what? 💭🙇
Erin Scherfner
@lucyschafer the journaling feature is great because I don't always have time to sit down with my physical copy, this has allowed me to write my thoughts and feelings down to transcribe later and stay on track with my mental health journey 10/10
Travis Chen
@lucyschafer the journaling feature is one of my favorite parts of our app! I use it everyday -- not only to write down my thoughts, but to track my mood from the day and fill out a few other questions that help me self reflect after a long day. 10/10 for sure!
Lucy Schafer
@erin_scherfner 100% agree. Time is precious in this day and age, so wherever you can sneak a little mental health check in is key! 🔑 Were you able to try out the schedule a journal reminder feature?
Lucy Schafer
@travischenn absolutely -- that's the best part of SoundMind's journaling feature: we provide users with graphical representations of their mental health journey from their first day at SoundMind onward! Don't forget that you can also integrate your Apple Health data to see how aspects of your physical health might also be affecting your mental health.
John Orlando Rodriguez
@lucyschafer I'd say absolutely. For me, it create space for processing questions that aren't always top of mind or you would immediately think of which allows me to think more deeply and get closer to the source of the pain or discomfort I experience. Honestly it helps me get clarity, faster. I call it my mental health pocket mirror. Allows me to take a real look inward.
Lucy Schafer
Folks who have downloaded the app already, what’s your favorite feature so far? 🎶 We can’t wait to hear about your initial experience on SoundMind! Let us know ⬇️
Erin Scherfner
@lucyschafer the various soundscapes are great, I like that I can mix and match to create my very own ambiance
Travis Chen
@lucyschafer Hard to decide on this one..... But if I were to recommend one feature, it would be our soundscapes composer. Love the new design and the ability to create my own soundscapes!
Lucy Schafer
@erin_scherfner Yes, our Music Composer is definitely our top selling platform!! I'm so glad to hear you're loving it. Did you know that with the new release of SoundMind, you can actually alter the volume of each individual sound bubble on the soundscapes? Try it out for a more customized experience!
Lucy Schafer
@travischenn Couldn't agree more. The autonomy and decision making power is in your hands with the composer!
Brian Femminella
@lucyschafer mine would have to be the characters and how we can make them our own avatar
Shrikant Damani
Congratulations on the launch, guys! As someone who has had a lot of experience of being unable to get out of my own head - I have always wished I had some control over the soundtrack up there. This is a really endearing endeavor. And I will always champion products that are helping people with bettering their mental health. I will be on the lookout for the android version. All the best @brianfemminella and team :)
John Rodriguez
@shrikant_damani I feel this in my spirit! The mind is such a beautiful, complex, and still holds so much mystery and untapped potential. We believe it's with intentionally designed applications like this that we can create a ripple in the mental health space. And for those moments you can't get out of your head, try our Visual Beats (with some headphones). Search for the disruptive mood/thoughts you are experiencing and stop it in its tracks 🎶
Shrikant Damani
@johnorodriguez Absolutely! Love your philosophy on this. Also, thanks for the recommendation. I will definitely check it out :)
Rahul Mehta

@kehkasha_qureshi couldn't agree more! 🥰 Thank you! Give SoundMind a try for when you're in need of more relaxation, focus, motivation, or better sleep
Brian Femminella
