Hi Product Hunt! I built ScreenZen because I couldn’t stop compulsively using my phone during quarantine, even after watching “The Social Dilemma”. I tried setting time limits, kept my phone in a drawer and tested apps on the App Store, but nothing seemed to work. I decided to build something to solve my own problem. What I landed on was an iOS app that relies on awareness (logging your distracting apps on a daily basis) and gamification (streaks, badges, etc). I use it daily and have found that I have drastically improved how I use my phone. I’m excited to share it with everyone. I believe that the same model that has worked for diet apps can also work to improve phone use. This is my first release as an indie developer, so I would appreciate any feedback from the community. Please check it out! At least initially, it’s completely FREE. Sorry android users, I built it with Swift because I had to use some custom iOS functionality. But if there’s enough support, I will definitely make an android version :)
