ā Discover hunters across 50+ topics on Product Hunt
ā Find hunters who hunted the top 3 products and
ā Connect easily with hunters with the social media links provided on hunter profile pages
How it Works?
ā Go to phhunters.com
ā Filter the category you want to
ā Then, you can see a list of hunters who hunt in those categories and
ā From the list, click on the hunters card to get more details and contact links of the hunter
And, now what
This is the first version of PH Hunters, It would be great if you guys checkout the website and share your suggestions in the comments. This will help us in improving PH Hunters.

Built by two PH enthusiasts @karthik_tatikonda and @nithin_jawahar whose work I've followed for a few months now.
This tool helps you find the right hunter for your next PH launch and connect with them instantly.
The directory's key highlights are as follows:
ā Hand-picked and curated to showcase Hunters who've had a ton of Top 3 launches
ā Includes most active channels of Hunters so you can reach out directly
ā The list is updated frequently
I was honored to discover that they graciously included my account on the list too along with some of the other top Hunters. You'll see some familiar faces .. many of whom will be happy to help you with your launch (including me).

Why did we build this?
Hunters are the heros without capes of Product Hunt š¦ø
When we had our first launch on Product Hunt in 2022,
Our hunter @iampascio , immensly helped us plan our launch, prepare our launch strategy & shared it with his all his social followers and subscribers when we went live.
This helped us get huge traction for our launch & we ended making four figures from it šø
That's when we knew how powerful a hunter is for the launch.
If you find the right hunter, he/she can provide enourmous support for your launch expecting nothing in return.
Because most hunters hunt for the love of the community ā¤ļø
The Problem
The only problem is, finding the right hunter is very time-consuming.
You need research through all the launches of the year,
Make a list of hunters who fits for your product & try to connect with them.
So finalizing a hunter can takes hours if not days.
By the time you fix the hunter, you've little time to promote your launch.
The Solution
We wanted a easier way to find & connect with hunters.
That's why we decided to build PH Hunters.
We went through all the top launches in the past 12 months, noted down the top hunters from each category and built a free hunter's directory on phhunters.com
With PH Hunters, you can

@chrismessina The original value of ProductHunt when it launched was that it was CURATED by a select group of Hunters, who were the only ones that could post projects and only hunters or makers could comment. As the site grew, PH opened it so that anybody could submit projects for review in an effort to democratise, but while they didn't hide it, it wasn't super obvious to everyone that there were two classes of user (those that could post to front page directly, and those that went in the queue)
That misunderstanding led to that big "takedown" piece, which forced PH to make the whole process really open, and sort of let everybody in. This in itself is not a problem, but in addition to diluting the value of the curation, it also opened the door for a whole bunch of negative behaviour.
Like, pick any day of the week, go to the top 3-5 projects, and there's one guy who's been posting a genericc "congrats on the launch" comment on the top comment (usually the maker's) every day for like the last 2 years. And most of the comments are just generic positivity that I'd argue don't add real value, especially the ones where the person obviously haven't or wouldn't try the product.
And I'm sure that's not the worst of it.
Personally, I'm not a fan of getting e-mails from strangers asking me to "support their project" on launch day. I'm pretty easy to find on Twitter, and practically get zero replies to my tweets. Seems like it would be pretty easy for people to ingratiate themselves with me.
I can see PH Hunters being an excellent resource for a lot of makers š Preparing for a launch is time-consuming enough without the added research of finding a suitable hunter.
I'm curious - how are hunters selected for the directory?

We went through all the top launches of 2023 and made a list of all the makers who actively hunted products and added them to the list.

Here's how we selected the hunters:
We've manually gone through all the launches in the past 12 months, shortlisted hunters whose launched ranked in top 3 and categorized them based on the Product categories they Hunt.
