The app makes my screen black and white, with only the essential apps on my home screen. Anything else: I have to search my typing the first few letters. Social media: I have scheduled access to social media in a 4 hour window once a day, and have 'blocked myself' at other times. While in the window I have to choose 1, 5, 10 or 15 minutes of 'social media time'. This app has helped me to manage myself and my screen time. It is worth getting. I have the lifetime membership.
What needs improvement
I bought a lifetime subscription to minimalist phone. Reduce my use of social media.
Do notification filters reliably catch distracting notifications?
Yes.
Can you schedule different profiles for work and personal?
I don't know. At the moment I have two sim cards in my phone (one for work and one for home) and my settings on the minimalist phone apply to both.

I set up the apps I want on my home screen myself. And can add or subtract. The apps are in alphabetical order.

I use this Operating System on my phone. I've been using it for two years. It's probably one of the reasons why I was able to cut down most of my phone usage.
Now If only they could hide the hidden apps in a way that it is randomized where it would appear, we'd be golden. Instagram Reels has me hooked at the moment. Even if it's hidden. But I still get my regular 15 min popups to remind me I am going down the wrong path. I love minimalist phone.
I'm not a fan of the notification bar being hidden all the time. That's the only que for unread messages etc. It otherwise is very minimal, if not a little boring. The main screen could at least incorporate a grid or some simple monotone icons. It does what it does maybe a little too well
