Hey Product Hunt community, I'm excited to introduce Lume to you today! As the developer behind this wellness companion, I created Lume to help people get ahead of their stress and anxiety by alerting them before they even feel it. Lume isn't just another wellness tracker. It’s built with proactive insights, using patterns in your data to help you understand and manage stress and anxiety in real-time. My own experience inspired this approach – I noticed how shifts in my resting heart rate often correlated with rising stress, and I wanted a way to address it sooner. Lume gives users that early nudge, along with personalized tips to help keep stress in check before it overwhelms. One thing I’m particularly proud of is how Lume caters to a balanced lifestyle. It’s more than just tracking – Lume’s insights span across daily pillars like sleep, exercise, and mindfulness, making it a well-rounded companion for your mental well-being. 🌟 If Lume resonates with you, I’d love your support with an upvote! Thank you for being a part of this journey toward a calmer, more balanced life.

@mazen_kurdi Great proactive approach to stress management! What stands out is how Lume takes a holistic view across sleep, exercise, and mindfulness. Most wellness apps focus on tracking after the fact, but catching stress signals early & providing actionable tips is a innovative approach! Congrats on the launch!

@jan_ber Thank you for your kind words! One of the things we wanted to focus on was not just the reporting of your stress levels but also what things you could do to mitigate stress before it gets worse or reaches the point of burnout for example. Unlike other apps we also avoid reporting how your stress levels change throughout your day and focus instead on longer term trends and how you're doing overall throughout the week. And I've realized that when I stick to closing the pillars every day I can actually bring down my stress levels in a predictable way!

Cool product! I wonder how Lume managed to measure the degree of anxiety! And congrats on the launch!
Mazen El Kurdi
@linda_yanlin Thank you! It's based on Heart Rate Variability and Resting Heart Rate readings that come in from the Health App on your iPhone. We aggregate the data into daily readings so it gives you a longer term view of your stress level trends for the week! Try it out 🚀

@mazen_kurdi got it! thanks for your answer!

Much needed in today's generation!

@ishitajain21 I completely agree! We need more digital tools that improve our mental health 🙏

There have been days where I haven't even realised how anxious I've been feeling so Lume seems like it could catch these situations BEFORE they happen... does it offer suggestions on what to do to come back into balance? btw good job mate, we need more apps like this.

I just tried the app out. Lovely UI, but one odd thing is the Lume App Benefits are paywalled. I would have thought that is something you would want the user to know to help them make a purchase decision. Unless I am missing something?
Mazen El Kurdi
@john_bass I completely agree, to be completely honest with you the motivation for this app was me realizing how I used to let stress and my mental state in general get out of hand and only realize when its too late. I noticed patterns in my health app with my heart rate data that correlated very closely with this periods where I wasn't feeling great mentally and so I thought it would be great to have something warn you when you're heading in that direction! To answer your question as well, yes it sends you notifications when your stress levels are rising but it also sends notifications to help guide you back with recommendations as to what pillars you should be completing on a daily basis. Thank you and please let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions 🙏

@mazen_kurdi yeah dude it's catching patterns EARLY before things go sideways!

I love the concept of recognizing rising anxiety and stress levels! Does the app offer personalized actions to help users regain balance? For instance, if it knows the user has recently exercised, it could suggest an alternative action, like a breathing exercise, instead of defaulting to 'Do some exercise.' It would also be amazing if the app could learn from what has worked best for the user in different situations. Congrats on the launch—mental health support is so important! 😊
Mazen El Kurdi
@pablo_velez Thank you! Yes it will send you notifications to help guide you back to a balanced state and it takes into account what you've already done. So if you've exercised it'll try to suggest a different pillar to tackle. The learning part is a great idea! I'm going to be looking at ways to do this since I agree 100% that some people might respond to exercise more than others while some people just need a better night of sleep for example. Great suggestion 😊

Looks great on the surface @mazen_kurdi , congrats on the launch. I love the UI, when I saw the 3 of 4 Pillars I immediately thought of the "zero" fasting app. Did the app inspire some of your design decisions? Will definitely give it a go! Wishing you all the success. 🫶
Mazen El Kurdi
@jasondejesuz Thank you for your kind words! Yes I've been using the "zero" app for quite a while and one thing I really love is how it encourages daily completion of the pillars. I realized it kept me in check and so I wondered if I could apply something similar to help build in habits that alleviate stress and anxiety 🙏 Good catch 👀

Nice launch! Does it integrate with the Calendar to correlate events and attendees with the stress and anxiety?
